PXG 0211 Wedges- Does Anyone Use Them?

Looking at buying a set of the 0211 Irons with the sale they have going on. My question is has anyone used the Gap, Sand, and Lob wedge in this set and how do they compare to say a regular wedge like a Vokey or Cleveland? Was not sure if they would be like adding the Gap, Sand, and Lob in say a Ping G series Iron.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

The gap wedge is great and I can use it effectively for full and partial shots, but I don't really try anything too creative because the bounce and leading edge make that type of shot really demanding. I don't use the 0211 sand and lob wedge for that reason. I just don't feel like the 0211 sand and lob wedge have the versatility that I want and get from "pro" style wedges. But if you are someone who mainly hits "stock" shots with all of their wedges, then matching your sand and lob wedge to your set may work well for you.

I got the PW and GW but passed on the lob and sand. While I think that they would be good (especially at their price point) and cheaper than most dedicated wedges, they don't have the grind options that I look at. If you aren't that fussy about different sole grinds, I think that they would be something you could work with.

NOTE: I really wanted to try the lob, but just couldn't pull myself to spend $95+shipping to get it.

They are pretty much exactly what you would expect. Very difficult to open up off of anything but the fluffiest of lies. Looks weird in a bunker, although fairly effective. Fantastic from any kind of distance.

 

Manipulating the loft is difficult and they have a wide sole. If you like K grind wedges and hitting square-faced shots around the green they are really good. If not, they're not.

The PW and GW have a similar grind to a Vokey S grind which is great for square shots and suits me perfectly. I ordered 4-LW with Steelfiber i95 (tennis elbow). That’s why I’m selling my other set of 0211 with C-Taper Lite’s. I’m curious to see how they stack up. I have always switched over to Vokeys for my SW and LW but I’m excited to see. Even better if the SW and LW have a grind like a Vokey K grind, sweet for me.

Does anyone have an in hand pic of the sw or lw? I tried to find some online, but came up empty handed.

I’m debating what the use for the Gap. My thinking is sticking with the 0211 since it would never be manipulated anyway.
