RARE 1/200 "GREEN DOT DOWN" 1ST RUN 500 Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 35" NEW

Up for sale today is a Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 1ST RUN 500 putter. This putter is brand new with plastic on grip and is the stock 35". Headcover and pivot tool included.$750 $700 SHIPPED INSURED TO CONUSBACKGROUND: This putter is from the first Studio Stainless line in 2002. Notice the lack of paintfill in the lettering; paintfill added in 2003 line. According to the Scotty Cameron authentication registry, only 1/200 putters were made like this before the error was recognized. See registry link #A003067 below as an example (note this is NOT the putter for sale; it is only an example). It is kind of a mystery how the reverse sole mistake occurred on only the Newport models. You will note the putter in the authentication registry is NOT a 1ST RUN 500 putter. Additionally, in the eBay link below, that putter IS a 1ST RUN 500 Newport, but does NOT have the reverse sole. The only thing we know for certain is only 200 of these were made according to Scotty. I find it to be such an intriguing story personally. How do some 1ST RUN 500 NOT have the reverse sole when some regular OTR Newports have the reverse sole? And how was the mistake only limited to the Newport model? It's like they randomly put the putter head in upside down every once in awhile when engraving the sole LOL.

I think it’s one of the best, yet underrated and unknown Scotty stories / collectible models. I’ve always found it funny how many different numbers Scotty had given on the number of GGDs in existence (and I think the range of numbers proves this was not an intentional run, but a true error).
