TPI assessment

I'm thinking about doing a TPI evaluation to see what physical limitations I have that need to be addressed in order to hit the ball further. When I search for a certified person on their website I see either physical trainers or physical therapists. Opinions on who would be better to go to? I don't have any injury issues so maybe a trainer is better, but it seems the PT would have better knowledge about how the body works.

Better to see a really good teaching pro. More likely your swing. And a really good teacher can identify is you may have a physical limitation that needs addressed and typically recommend people to see.

A good Physical Therapist (there are plenty of bad ones who turn people off to P.T.) is worth their weight in gold. I would argue that, after speaking with my swing coach (one who I partner with for my clients) that there are often physical limitations that a golf pro is unable to improve. They would merely look to create "compensations" to help you achieve you goal: PLAY BETTER GOLF. You can look at the www.mytpi.com and "find a provider" that way.

Thanks very much for the response. I used the mytpi site to find a personal trainer who specializes in just golf. I'm going to go see him once my state's businesses open. I've taken lots and lots of lessons. They've all helped me play better golf, but really no increase in my super low swing speed. I thought an assessment would help me determine if that was a physical issue and how to improve it.
