wedge shaft ?

Is there a shaft for wedges that will hit have a lower ball flight?My s300 hit the ball way to high with little spin.My irons have project x which are supposed to be a higher ball flight but the traj is just right.any help would be appreciated.Dave

You could go S400 or Rifle Spinner if you don't fancy just putting PX in your wedges

I dont mind putting px in my wedges !But I do have some s400,s300,r300 and x 100.so I have lots of options I was wondering which would be best a stiff tip or soft tip?

Wedges are designed to hit the ball high, so you may be fighting something you can't win with a shaft change depending on your ball position and ball striking.

There is no difference in ball flight between an S300 and an S400 - the S400 is a factory second that is 2-3g heavier than the S300 upper limit specification. They are often not even stiffer than the S300 when you measure them depending on where the shaft is thicker (why it's heavier).

Spinners have a softer tip profile and will result in a higher shot on full swings.

If you want a wedge shaft that will not add spin to the ball, simply take a Dynamic Gold and tip it so there is no parallel tip left - leave just enough to shaft the wedge. This will make it a piece of rebar and there is no chance it will kick forward at impact and add loft to the wedge.

3 biggest things that i can think of if you can't hit the ball to the trajectory & spin you need with wedges that has S300 in it:

1. Technique of hitting it with the right ball possition etc.
2. Bounce angle reaction to the fairway frimness and your hitting technique. To much bounce angle on a firm ground will lift the ball up higher ball flight.
3. Is the least on a wedges IMO...wrong flex, to soft!

Some others factors are just minor IMO.

I really like the Rifle Spinner Wedge shaft. It has helped me, or I have learned to control my distance by trajectory by practicing more.
