Wilson Fluid Feel Staff Irons

Came across this set and couldn’t pass it up. Brand new in box and they are beauties! Ive heard anything from 86 to 87-88 as far as the year.

I just bought a set of the same clubs in close to the same condition. Mine look to be unplayed but obviously the box and docs you have will add a bit. Set me back $250 but they are lefty so perhaps a little rarer.

Stunning set of irons. I have always considered these amongst the prettiest of Wilson irons and believed them to date to 87 - 88.

I have them 1-Sw complete in good but used condition and think they set me back around £75 (UK).

New and boxed must attract a premium - possibly significant - but I would want to play so wouldn't go over board as that premium would be lost on first strike.

I have the pitching and sand wedges from that set. £3 each in charity store. Fantastic purchases gentlemen.

This is the model that got me into classic clubs. I had them in the bag yesterday (with modern woods) and shot 3 over, great irons. That one set has grown into about 25 sets of various brands of classics. Be careful.

I responded in your other thread, but I'll repeat myself.

I feel confident in these being 87-88 Fluid Feels. If you look on the Ironfinder.com page for Single Irons, and go to Wilson, you can see the differences between the 84-86 "line over" Tour Blades, the 87-88 Fluid Feels, and the 89-90 Fluid Feels. All three sets have a tri-level muscle. The main difference between that model of Tour Blades and the two Fluid Feel sets is that on the Tour Blades, the sole is the widest part of the muscle back. On the Fluid Feels, the middle section is the widest part of the muscle back.

The line over Tour Blades are similar to the Apex Redlines in that way. Or maybe more accurately, the Redlines are like the Tour Blades, since the Wilson's appeared four years earlier.
