BB1 2018 vs 2020 Differences

Kinda itching to get a Bettinardi back in the collection and being a lefty options are limited. So just curious if any real difference from the 2018 and 2020 BB1? I see they have a different fly milling on the face, the 2020 looks a little beefier to be shorter heel to toe. Anything else I'm missing?

I am really curious about this as well. Being a lefty (I believe you are as well) I haven’t seen a ton of options to pick up other Betti’s for under $300 - but I really want to expand my putter collection and pick one up.

I am a lefty and there was a flood of the 2018 BB1 putters for a fair price. I did look into this a bit more and here is what I found. I never bothered updating because of the lack of activity and I bought something else.

The differences are:

* 2018 is wider front to back, 2020 is longer heel to toe.

* 2018 has rounder bumpers, 2020 is flatter but round in that weird bettinardi way.

* 2018 topline is rounder, 2020 is flatter possibly to make it look bigger.

* neck placement is a little different. The 2020 is set back just a hair kinda like the Scotty Special Select line. The 2018 is more flush with the face. This creates a bit different of a shape for each head but not much at address.

For me i think I prefer the 2018 for that bigger foot print front to back.

Lets see if I can get photos to load properly.

Top pic is the 2018 and bottom pic is 2020.

Is Bettanardi making a new mallet for 2021?

Might be something in the Queen Bee release or Studio Stock. Will have to wait and see I guess.

Agree. 2018 looks better. Currently gaming 2018 BB1 but just ordered BB8 Wide 2020 version so that I can have both types. Didn't see the point of getting the 2020 BB1. I might get the 2021 Studio Stock 18 as well.

So any difference between 2019 vs 2021 Studio Stock other than the FIT face being harder in 2020 and more functional to increase forward roll?
