I am really liking those irons, It is very tempting to say the least to get a set to see how they compare against my r7 tp irons !!!!

I played the MP-32's and bought the R7 TP's to increase forgiveness. The R7 TP's just look, feel and sound clunky compared to the MP-32's. Once I had the new Forged in my hands I wasn't thrown back as much with the size. It is disguised well, thin top line and a little bit smaller than the R7 TP's. Feel is awesome. As close to my MP-32's as I can find and that's even when its not perfectly in the sweet spot. Forgiveness is very high. My swing has been a little off as of late and even on miss hit shots the ball flew decently without giving up to much distance.

I think the perfect set would be a 3&4 r7 tp, 5-7 RAC 05 TP, 8-9 RAC MB; all satinized with the pimp ferrules. Would like having the r7TP long irons for the full cavity back forgiveness, the 05 TP mid irons for the cavity plus the way they put more mass behind the impact area for increased feel, and the RAC MB for maximum workability and the best feel.
I don't see why Taylormade and other OEM's make sets like this more often, if they don't think a progressive set will sell, they should talk to Nike about the Pro Combo Tours and Titleist about the 735cm's.

Only wished they were forged by Miura....then they would be in my bag now.

I'll stick to a custom Japan combo set of Mizuno Japan in brushed satin nickel and maybe a set of Miura Cb-202 for the Summer 2008 season :cheesy:

 

Still think these TM irons looks pretty sweet though........you can get them custom made in satin and black paintfill on tsg.com. Chris does the work on them. Swing weight should not be altered, because the finish only is blasted and not actually removed :cheesy:

I would like to add that I tried contacting Epon directly about the ferrules.

 

Reply was something like "Epon ferrules can only go on Epon clubs". Would have been really nice to try them on my blades.

Uh no, not exactly. Nike used a badge with lines. These are milled lines.

I cannot actually read or speak German, but the photos look exactly like the Tourspec Satins with the same ferrules. Therefore, I would say doubtful on the Miura forging.

They are NOT forged by Miura......not even one-offs....this is misleading
