CT Country Clubs

I'm looking at a few auctions offering rounds at private clubs in CT and I'm curious to get feedback on a few of them and how you would rank them as far as preference to play. The ones I was looking at were GC of Avon, Torrington CC, Shuttle Meadow CC, Redding CC and Watertown GC. Appreciate any insights.

Of your list, I've only played Redding, and I wouldn't spend too much or travel too far for a round of golf there. I like the grounds and clubhouse, but the course itself is just alright. Lots of hills, a number of blind shots, and interesting routing. It's not on anyone's "must play list".

Shuttle meadow is incredibly difficult to get on so I would play there. Conditions are fantastic.

Torrington is also very nice.

The others are nice but not as nice as the two I listed, imho

Shuttle MeadowTorringtonWatertownReddingAvonShuttle Meadow's #1 by a comfortable margin over Torrington, then there's a pretty big dropoff down to the other three IMO.

I would keep an eye out for Bull's Bridge.
