Would Deemples (app to find golf buddies) work in the USA?

Hey guys, Deemples currently helps 30k golfers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia find buddies and games. A few have attempted this in other parts of the world, but we're guessing due to lack of skills/efforts in product design/dev, marketing, and monetisation, most have ceased. 

 

We're not in the US, but if we did put in the right marketing and monetisation strategies, would it be something that golfers in the US would still use? Asking because we recently got a surge of US users (probably due to SEO efforts), but can't help them at the moment 😞

 

Check it out here: https://deemples.com/download - rounds are super low now since Malaysia is on lockdown again, but when things are open, golfers use it to connect and play about 4500 rounds per month.

It wouldn't work in the U.S.

 

We are very non social when it come to golf...  But I would say drop some market research money and be sure.  I could be wrong and this could be a boon for your company...

been asking around on reddit, most have been looking for soethign like this. 

but to make it work, execution needs to be right, otherwise it'll outright fail, like other similar ones that have attempted to help 😞

 

where are you in the US?  are most golfers there in your city very non-social like u said?

It would work in the USA - I have no idea where that (banned) member was coming from; except to troll. I'm always looking for golf partners since I recently retired and like to try new courses in my area.

I am in MI/WI. I have a couple of golf buddies but am always looking for more. Also I like to try new courses that they don't want to travel to or their schedule doesn't permit.

at the Iron Mountain area? Must be cold up there in the winter yeah?
 

Ok Sounds like Deemples will solve this perfectly. Will get to work on getting it to the USA, 1 city at a time.

Yeah - short-season for sure but lots of area and regional courses. Your app could be very useful as we become snowbirds and escape to warmer climes.

In discussions with partners and golf courses already in the southern states now. If you’d be keen to be involved, lemme know. Have some plans in place. But We can’t do it ourselves, and definitely need a lot of help!

We have an app, GolfMatch that I used a bit when I lived in Los Angeles. I met up with a few groups. Found a good buddy one of those rounds that was an actor and he got me on a private club which was cool. I think something would work if it was marketed/publicized well.

 

Filters were nice. Saying if you want to gamble or not, your handicap, if you prefer men/women, etc. There was always a ton of women only groups on there that would never let a guy join which was kind of annoying. It's like marrying together GolfNow,TeeOff or Click4teetimes but with a little bio and picture of the person that already took up 1-3 spots for that tee time. 

 

I also liked it because I could see what tee times people already had locked up at the course and I could just chose there. Easier than going out on a wait list as a single.

I would be interested. I am 35 and don't have many golf friends. Would love to have a large circle to get regular partners from.
