Trump National Miami

Booked a boys trip to Doral. 
 

Any insight on navigating the area?

 

Plan is to stay on resort most of the time but looking for a couple spots off property that are with a reasonable Uber ride for dinner/evening entertainment.

Traffic in Doral is pretty awful. Wherever you go, plan early. Doral has a City place where they have the improv and a bunch of shops and food spots. Good starting place without having to go too far. Bulla is a good spot and wont break the bank in the area.

Not sure if you've made the trip yet but as a local to the area I will say that there are plenty of places to eat and drink near the resort that I would highly recommend for a boys trip. If you're looking for a decent steakhouse you'll have a couple of options in CityPlace Doral which is about 6 blocks from the entrance of the resort. For your sports bar type of places go check out Carolina Ale House (literally across the street) and Miller Ale House slightly down the road. Let me be honest, these both fail in comparison to Flannigans which will be about a 5 minute car ride from the resort. 

 

There really isn't a club scene in the Doral area but you do have some local breweries within a 10 minute drive.

Stayed and played a couple years ago - enjoyed the restaurant on site, and bar - would recommend just staying on property vs. what is near by.

 

Had a great time, and recommend it for a fellas trip. Wine and steaks were flowing.

Go a bit farther south to Little Havana or Coconut Grove

I disagree with this. It is mostly chain places but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time in the area. Depending when your trip is; a world of beer should be opening kitty corner to the resort.

Figured I’d close  the loop on this. 
 

We had a great time at Trump National. Service and amenities were top notch. 
 

We played Silver Fox and Golden Palm, both tough but fair courses. 
 

We never actually ventured off the property, we didn’t have to. Next year I think we will extend the trip a day and head out. 
 

Great trip and would recommend.
