Jonathans Landing - Jupter Florida

Good Morning,

 

I wanted to get everyones thoughts on Jonathans landing in Jupiter.  I see they have 3 courses (2 Fazio courses and 1 Hanse course) and wanted to get everyones opinion about if there is a "must play" out of this group of 3.  I think I am gonna have the chance to play here and wanted to get everyones opinion.

 

Anyone have any experience with Jonathans Landing and give a little insight about the club and the courses?

No experience but it would appear the Match at Old Trail course is the one to play.

Match at Old Trail is the newest renovated course done by Gil Hanse & Jim Wagner. It is an open course with some interesting sight lines and greens. Some of the holes criss-cross a bit or come very close to each out. Lots of cool, short par-4s. I heard some of the members do not like it, and are going to plan some trees in between fairways, which is an awful decision imo. Play it before they do that.

 

Medal at Old Trail is a Fazio course, pretty standard FL track. It is in good condition, but not much to speak of.

 

The Match and Medal courses are right next to each other.

 

I have not played the Village course - this is not in the same location, it is closer to the Intracostal and the town of Jupiter. I have heard it is the least inspiring of the three.

I am interested possibly becoming a member here.  I live in Jupiter Farms, so the proximity to the west courses is a HUGE perk.

Literally across the street! 

 

I have played the east course and one of the west courses probably about 3 years ago. Honestly, I liked the vibe out west a lot better than going into the development.

yehp agree with that.  I used to store my boat at JL and just didn't love the vibe.  I wish they offered "West Only" or "Golf Only" memberships.

Played this course today, or the match course and had a blast. Reminded me of Sweetens Cove, but on steroids and more manicured. We had a caddy and played with a member, but some very interesting holes. The course is firm and fast. Definitel play it if you have the chance.

thats a fun looking green complex!  Does JL require that guests play with a member?  Was the caddy mandatory?

Jonathan’s is amazing…match and medal are really good…village course in town is decent layout but not great conditioning.  You can play unaccompanied and caddies are not required.  The practice facility at old trail is one of the best I’ve seen.
