Hate the look but put a black svelte flat cat on it and love the feel.  I hate red so the look of this putter ain’t for me but I keep rolling it well.  
 

I have always had some pretty bad a**, looking putters with grips and custom head covers and shaft colors either stealth black or white polar BGT or KBS GPS but this thing is flat out ugly. that said, I’m all about results and will keep putting with this until the results aren’t good

Maybe flat-cat will come out with some more color variations for their grips which will match better with the red shaft haha. Glad you’re rolling it well though

Got the 20g weights in today from Amazon. Will give em A roll tomorrow

Whoa! Put the 20g weights in and it feels HEAVY! Glad I didn’t buy the 25g.  I guess an overall 10g makes a difference from stock.  Feels good tho.  At first I didn’t think I’d like it being this heavy as I loved the stock feel but this feels pretty damn good.

I just put a SuperStroke Tour 3.0 on mine. No need to put a tape with the Stroke Lab Shaft (there wasn't any tape to begin with on the Odyssey grip, just some kind of sticky glue)

And I had to put a lot of grease and WD40 in order to put the grip in. Halfway through the thing was STUCK. I couldn't believe how hard it was to put it all the way through, even though the thing was greased up to the bone (with ultra greasy mechanical grease).

 

So no tape needed, just a whole lot of lube. And good luck to take it out, pretty sure it's impossible.

 

 

 

 

 

And for the people saying it sits close at adress (other people say it sits open), I think it's just the Double Bend that gives this kind of feeling.

 

It can easily be changed to your liking by twisting the grip to the left (if you want to close the face) or to the right (if you want to open it).

Mine sat a bit open too with the original grip. And now it sits perfectly.

As for the SuperStroke grip : it feels a bit spongy. Not the best sensation in my opinion. 

 

I had a pistol 1.0 and it felt harder (better). 

 

But the thing seems to work. Helps me to mitigate those handsy strokes, I could feel it instantly.

Very recent impulse purchase of a steel shafted 7bird.

 

Has kicked my Cameron out of the bag for the minute. 

 

Bumped the stock weights from 10g to 20g. Perhaps a tad heavy, left all my long putts a touch short, but clinical inside 6ft. SO STABLE. 

 

Will invest in a pair of 15g weights which I think will be perfect balance.

I thought 15g weights were stock?

Currently putting with a doubt bend Two Ball Ten(tour) with white hot insert.  This 7 bird has me intrigued to say the least.  I get streaky but want something super SOLID in the under 10ft range.  I love a double bend and this thing appears to have even more MOI.  I get wristy sometimes, ughh.

 

Can anyone compare the two?

I have a 38" counterbalanced 7 Bird that I have really enjoyed.  However, I think I am going to cut it down to 36.5" and put that new SuperStroke Zenergy 1.0p Claw 13" grip that Wyndham Clark has been using the last couple of months.  This should make the overall weight and size of the putter a bit more manageable.
