Holtsville Long Island or Edison NJ? I'm equal distance to both. Is there a difference?  THANKS!

Never been to the Holtsville one, but Edison gets really crowded on the weekends. Nice place, but make sure you account for wait time if going on the weekend

Follow up: Went to the Edison Top Golf today. To sum it up - it was OK. The mats were beat up and the food was terrible, but my kids enjoyed the games. It was about 1.5 hours from us. Everyone agreed that a trip to the local driving range made more sense in the future. If Top Golf were closer, or we went at night, that may make a difference.

Either would work.  Every TopGolf is the same.   Take your kids during the day on weekdays. Go weekend evenings and watch drunk teen girls try to hit golf shots in high heels.

Generally speaking... Top Golf is more "fun" for the non-golfing crowd. It's essentially the golf version of an overpriced bowling alley.

Yes you can bring them, but do not have to. The clubs they have in each bay are pretty crappy, but so are the balls which you obviously have to use, so it is really up to you.
