Worth Buying a 2022 Toulon now or Wait for 2023?

Wild we're not seeing anything on a new line. LV and Le Mans don't show on the website but they are still available in the garage.

I have been waiting and hoping they would release something new. I have my eye on a LV but resale market for lefties is expensive and at that point I just rather buy a new one.

I heard we’d get info in April, i doubt they revamping the design of the entire line, considering it was just revamped in 2022. And the current design is quite good IMO. So i assume they’re just gonna add a couple new models, and then re-release the current line with the new models added. Kinda like what SC did with the Phantom line over the last couple years

Sean Toulon manages Odyssey (Toulon included). I agree it’s a bit strange that certain Toulon models have become unavailable on their site, but my guess is that’ll change soon. An Odyssey rep suggested that something is in the works for Toulon in April, hopefully that’s accurate. My guess is an addition to the current lineup (LeMans Tour?), and/or changes to the finish (random idea, but changing the finish could explain why so many models have become unavailable)

Still have heard nothing on new Toulon models. Maybe they're sticking with every other year? Can't buy a Las Vegas on the site now unless you go through the garage and spend the extra. Only 5ish models available on the retail site. Definitely feels abandoned.

I still have faith that it’ll come to retail, i mean why wouldn’t it? I don’t understand Toulon/Odyssey when it comes to marketing though..they drop this fugly Indy for $650 and are probably wondering why it’s not selling. Yet people would purchase the Tour Le Man’s in a heartbeat 

 

Also, they have zero Toulon’s in any of the big box retailers (around Chicago, at least) - which obviously can’t help their sales. Most people are gonna want to see/test a $450+ putter in person before purchasing. I really am a fan of Toulon’s, they’re great quality, but I feel like the marketing decisions are really odd. Imagine how much better their sales would be if they had Toulon’s sitting in PGATSS’ or GolfGalaxys like the rest of Odyssey’s putters.

Absolutely spot on. The brand seems abandoned and they don’t seem to understand that people able/willing to spend big $$$ on putters want what is being played and validated on Tour. Granted much of that is Odyssey presently, but there certainly is a captive audience for milled and high-end insert putters. I’d imagine if they would release the Lemans Tour and ‘Xander’ putter under Toulon they’d have a record premium putter sales year, and chip back at the Scotty’s of the world.

We just have to hope that they have some common sense and that they’re simply teasing us as a marketing tactic with these Tour LeMan’s posts before an eventual re-release with the addition of the Tour LeMans, Xander’s putter (although i’m less confident that Xander’s proto will come to retail) and maybe others. Otherwise it’s just terrible business, but maybe the white hots, ten’s, elevens, trihot5ks, etc, sell so well that they don’t care about their Toulon sales

 

Still don’t/won’t understand why they never have Toulon's in stores though, they (Odyssey) are not even giving them a chance to compete with the sales of their other products. I bet they’d sell very well.

Thats my issue too. I have only found one Toulon in a store in San Antonio. Of course its RH and I am LH but I can still at least hit a few to gage the feel. I hope that they figure out to put more into stores because I want to try the LV. I am looking at either getting a LV, phantom 5.5 or a Ping PLD Tyne 4

what shaft did you put in the 7Ch? Also curious to hear about your experience. How did it change the feel?
