Best restaurants in central Myrtle Beach

Where are the best places to eat in or around central Myrtle Beach? Ill be there the 2nd week in March and I just wanted to get some good ideas on local places. Any cool laid back places on the beach or different "only in MB" kind of restaurants? As the title states, please dont throw out chain suggestions.

I can think of 2 places that come to mind but they are not on the beach , these are both on route 17 bypass , in Broadway at the Beach there in a steak house call T Bonz that was good , across the street from there is a seafood restaurant that is goos also but i cant remember the name , also about 10 miles when you first get into North Myrtle Beach there is a italian restaurant called Rossi's that is upscale with a good menu that ive been in many times that is excellent also , also be prepared in you are staying near the Airforce base/ MB airport on Buisness 17 there are MANY restaurants both there are a lot of chain places but if i was picking one of the better places close to the beach there is a Italian restaurant called Angelo's that offers a wide variety of menu items and its reasonable price wise , this place is on 21 st street between Ocean Ave and Buisness 17 , if i can think of any others i will repost, also MB area is known for seafood and there are some unique places but they are not right in Myrtle and you might have to travel some to get to them

it's closer to North MB, but check out Cagney's if you're willing to spend a bit extra on a good meal. the prime rib there is awesome.

I have been travelling to the Myrtle Beach area for twenty plus years and highly recommend Aspen Grille or New York Prime. Both are high end restaurants with outstanding service. If you are willing to travel, try Umberto's at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach it is Italian family style with a five course meal.

 

I agree with another poster on looking at Thoroughbreds as well, but in my opinion Aspen Grille & New York Prime are better places...

I live in St Louis so going to a steak or italian restaurant in MB isnt really something Im looking for. Im lookin for something different, some low country places that have some good low country fare like gumbo or shrimp & grits, or an excellent seafood restaurant to get some blackened grouper or steamed crabs.

I used to hang out at Bummz all the time. Haven't been in a few years though. Pretty decent food. But I mostly enjoyed the scenery... ;)

All are great fun.

Bimini's was a every trip stop, 3-4 nights a week when I regularly went to MBeach. Also Parson's Table in North myrtle was excellent. I have not been down in a few years, so I can't be sure.

Docksiders in Murrels inlet 15 min south on Kings Hwy . Awesome seafood, great atmosphere. Localey owned.

Second the Chestnut Hill recommendation. We're also in MB the second week in March. Always looking for somewhere new to eat. Sometimes the better chains are a safe bet for meals- at least you know what you're getting. We've gotten take out bar-b-q at Little Pigs on occasion. It's different from what we get in CNY.

For a burger go to Hambuger Joe's in N. Myrtle across Hwy 17 from Barefoot Landing. Great food , great atmosphere especially after a round.

Go north in to NC and go t Calabash there are a couple really good low country and seafood rest.

Lots of golf! Waterway hills, Aberdeen, Willbrook, Litchfield, Kings North, Long Bay and I think the West Course at MBN. I would play more, but I run out of sunlight in March.

Been to mb alot, the best is RIOZ . Next to broadway at the beach. Brazilian steakhouse. one price all you can eat. they come around with skewers of diff. meat all throughout the meal. i must of had 8 or 9 diff. types. try it you wont be dissapointed classy and good food

Im not too sure on the location, but try to go to a place called Sea Captains. Great seafood, and a nice atmosphere. Just make sure to get their around an hour early to get seated right away.

Sara J's in Murrells Inlet, some of the best seafood hands down. When we vacation there for a week we eat there a least 5 times for dinner.

Well we ended up deciding were going to play 2 more courses while were there. I think Sunday the 9th, were playing Myrtlewood Pinehills in the afternoon, and then Friday were going to play either one of the MBN courses (South or west) or Indigo Creek.

 

So the run down is:

 

Sunday - Myrtlewood Pinehills (most likely)

Monday - Burning Ridge

Tuesday - Indian Wells

Wednesday - Arrowhead CC

Friday - MBN - west (most likely)
