After finally moving over all my golf stuff from one garage to the other, including my bending and loft/lie measuring stuff, I checked the Takomo 201 irons and all of them were 1* weaker and at least 1.5* flatter than the posted specs on their website.  I measured them twice just to make sure.  I did the bending and measured them again.  I usually play 1* upright in my irons.

 

Everytime I do this song-and-dance, I wish I had more space so that I could bench-mount those 2 machines.  As it is, I use the Golfworks Heavy Duty Stand for both, so it's install measuring machine, measure, remove measuring, install bending, bend, remove bending, install measuring, and measure.  LOL.

... Nice payday for a Top 10 and Top 5. Nelly is such a joy to watch. Tithikul came through with a Top 10 as well. R. Ying was one of the 7 that caught the illness and had to WD.

After a freaking snow delay.  It was 50+ as I drove to the course.  Chipped, went to the range and then I just happened.  It was crazy rain, sleet, graupel, windy and the temp dropped about 15 degrees.

I'm just glad I did not do as originally planned and contact my brother while he was in LV earlier in the week to find out what the PGA futures lines were and place some bets because I was not thinking about Xander, so I saved at least a couple hundred bucks.  Haha.

I will be very happy if we can stay out of triple digits in Mesquite when our group is there in a couple weeks.  Not surprisingly, we got roasted in Scottsdale last year.

It was a tough day.  Another 9 over.  It was at times cold, then wet, sometimes windy, sometimes all of it at once.

 

A buddy of mine, a 17 by the way, says, “Your putting sucks, you should go back to…”. So I did.  On 16 a guy we had never played with says to me, you can really putt.

 

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.  And the 17 turned it around on the back since he mentioned it on 10 green.

Seriously?  Why now?  That’s just straight up hot.  Where are you playing.  A couple friends of mine just left their St George places for the summer.  They are also kicking our a**es since they played all winter.

It's our annual group golf trip - year 26.  Some of us are going a day early to play Wolf Creek and the subsequent rounds are at Oasis (Palmer), Conestoga, and Falcon Ridge.  

 

It used to be a lot worse with respect to temperatures on our trips because when things started, we were going in late-August.  I think it was around year 15 that we switched to the weekend after Memorial Day.  We got lucky on the one trip we made to Palm Springs - it was "only" 100F for all 3 days.  I think our hottest round was on one of the LV trips at Paiute.  Supposedly, it got up to 115F while we were on the course.  I still remember drinking 7 Gatorades and not having to make a pit stop.
