Fujikura Diamond Speeder

Anyone have any experience with this Driver shaft? My understanding is it's a Japanese Release in their Jewel series, what little bit I can find on it it touts the lowest torque of all the Fuji driver shafts and is suppose to be a Mid / Mid, but I would like to hear what it might compare to, or how it plays. My local Pro shop had a driver traded in with this shaft in it and I'm considering it.

This is a lovely shaft.  Smooth and good dispersion.  I still have one in one of my drivers.  Mid mid is about right.

 

The material construction is off the charts.  

 

I find it plays a tad soft to flex so I'd try it out to see if the flex suits.

Sounds about like what I was expecting but just wanted to verify, I couldn't imagine it not being a quality shaft.

@LionGolfer I went ahead and bought it and played it Sunday, you are correct the shaft is excellent, the materials & quality are off the charts, I would say after playing 18 it's a Mid / Mid shaft with a smooth transition, very playable shaft for sure. For me it seems a little softer than stated flex ( 6X ) Played more like a Firm to Stiff but given it's a JDM Market shaft that would make sense. I really like the shaft, not sure it's the shaft for me? I currently play the Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 6X, but I have a new Fujikura Speeder NX Green that should be here Friday and I'm going to give it a try before I make my final decision on Driver Shaft for the year. Thanks again for responding and hope this helps someone else that might be considering the Fuji Diamond. Oh by the way the finish and graphics are very sharp, the Prism shines like a diamond in the sunlight for those who are wandering.

Yes, it does play softer to flex and the flexes seem very close. In a blind test, I would not be able to tell the S and SR apart.  I had both at the start and have retained the SR in a back up. If you end up with something else, perhaps try it in a low spin head if not already done so.  I think it will excel there.  Perhaps try tipping it 1/2 to 1 inch if you feel it plays a tad soft?

 

I havent played a GD shaft in over 15 years. If they feel like they used to and if smooth is what you prefer, I don;t think the GD can come close.  Again, I'm basing this on some of the much older GD shafts.

I agree completely, I've tried just about every GD-AD Shaft and can only play 2 The IZ & HD, both very modern or fairly new shafts which a lot of guys say are 2 of the harsher GD Shafts. Just playing 18 with it I would say this would also make a great fairway shaft as well. Thanks again for posting it was helpful and right on track so much appreciated, I've certainly not given up on it by no means just doing my normal spring time shaft testing to see if anything can kick the gamer out. LOL
