Caddytek Push Cart Sale

Never had issue with ours.  What issues did you have?

The bag doesn’t fit the top arms. The notches for the legs of the bag are too narrow so it won’t sit down in them. Opening and closing it is a challenge. The button to release it to close it back down is really tough to push. My son cannot do it. I bought the seat to attach to it and could not find anyway to make it fit. Maybe it’s just me, but I need everything to be simple and easy enough that my boys can set up/ break down on their own.
if you have solutions to these issues I’m all ears. Would love for it to work well at that price

Ok, so I just found a new set of installation directions online that make more sense for the seat.  Now if I can get push button where Hulk strength isn’t required, we might have a chance lol

Why would the bag not fit the top arm?  I can't imagine unless your son is using a junior bag?   In that case, I've seen parents get creative by using some sort of makeshift stands and stuff.

Never really had an issue with the legs for the bag.  After placing the bag, we just wrap it with the lower bands and bags stay on fine.

I think you got the seat thing figured out so thats great.  TBH I thnk Caddytek seats are much more comfortable than the Clickgear, but thats just me.

For the button, I find that If I try to open/close the cart and press the button at the same time it becomes stuck.  The trick is to try to go the opposite way(cosing if opening, opening if closing) the cart and press the button and it works much better.
I'm under the impression that the locking mechanism has some sort of a pawl like in this picture:

Let me know what other issues you have.

Although I really wanted to get our kids a Clickgear, I could not justify the 2x~3x the price of the caddytek.

Plus the price on Clickgear accesories are just insane.

Caddytek already comes with a coolerbag, two cup holders, and an umbrella holder.  If you were to get all these accesories on the Clickgear, you're looking at spending close to $400 vs $130 for the Caddytek.

The space in the top clamp that the legs for a stand bag are supposed to go. It’s not wide enough. Adult Titleist carry bag

I was irritated as hell with the seat last night and then it just all built  from there. Opening and closing the cart some has loosened the button. Got the seat attached tonight and it works great. Cart now opens and closes easily. Son used it today and had zero issues. Even with the bag not sitting flush it still doesn’t move and is stable. Overall seems to be worth the money, even with my overreaction last night lol. Hopefully it holds up

That's very strange.   My son also has an adult Titleist bag, but don't remember it looking like that.    He has a tournament tomorrow so I'll take a picture of it.

Any updates?

You were right.

His titleist bag does not fit flush to the upper arms like in the picture.

I just have him use the straps to hold the bag in place and it works fine.

I still won't spend $400 on Clickgear.

Thanks. I agree, after figuring out the few issues I had and getting over my late night frustrations, I think it’s a solid cart. Definitely seems to be ok for the money. Even with the bag not sitting flush, it’s doesn’t seem to move during the round. It’s definitely better than the sun mountain 3 wheel cart that tipped over all the time unless I put a 5 pound weight in the bottom of the bag

Once you've spent $400 on other carts that aren't perfect and breakdown, you'll wish you would have just gotten the ClicGear. They are tanks and have the most accessories that are actually useful.

The only positive I got out of any other brand was the goodwill I felt from fixing them and giving them away to kids that needed one.

  • Thanks 1
There's definitely something more important that I should be doing.

Agreed but my guy weighs 100 lbs.  Its laboring for him to carry 18 holes.  Its just not worth it. He does carry some when practicing, but it just doesn't make sense in tournaments.

Mine pushed all the way to HS Golf.  At that point he made the decision to carry.

I am GenX.  If you really think I care about what you have to say, I don't.

I had a Clickgear and it was fine until I started having issues with tire inflation, locking mechanism. Admittedly, these were minor repairable. issues. Since I can now play after a few years layoff, my approach to golf is "minimalism". Keep it simple, light, no frills golf. A simple pull or push cart. Reflecting back before surgery, I carried too much sh*t on the course. All I need are maybe a dozen or fewer balls, tees, water bottle and a snack in the bag. Score card in my back pocket. Hit it, chase it, hit it again. That's just me. YMMV.
