Ping Heppler Anser 2 vs. Scotty Cam Newport

I have both of these putters and just enjoy the feel off the face better with the Ping. The Scotty totes a heft price tag but isn’t confidence more key? I’m a 0.8 GHIN. So I can shoot under par and have a very solid stroke. Thoughts on both of these? Both are 36” because I’m 6’3 with a 6”1 wingspan. It helps me not hunch.

They're both good putters I don't really like the Heppler 2-Tone but the smooth face I would prefer myself.  Then the Scotty well it's a Scotty you know what you're getting. 

 

Sounds like you enjoy the Ping more but want to use the Scotty more for some reason?

Matt you just read me like a book. Both putters were gifts I got and the heavy price tag on the Scotty sometimes makes me feel ungrateful. But you’re right the smooth face is why I like it!

I get that, still play the Ping if works out better for you but maybe practice rounds, fun rounds, whatever take the Scotty with you. Still use it but have the Ping as "the one" for those rounds you need to play.

@MattM97 is a good go to guy for putter questions.  Especially those involving multiple nice putters!

I have the Heppler Ketsch. Best Ping putters IMO. The Hepplers have the firm feel I like with the smooth face and I don’t have to hit the putts hard to get the ball to the hole. Very underrated lineup.

I sympathize with the OP. I have three Scotty Newports of different ages, but what’s in the bag is a 25 year-old Ping Scottsdale Anser Nickel putter. I simply putt better with it.
