Range only LM- Only real options?

I feel like what I’m reading is there is limited options when only using a LM (no room at home) at the range.
So for radar units would the R10 at $600 be the only option (waiting on SC4)?

Then the MLM2Pro’s full potential can’t even be used because it requires marked balls or spin and spin axis is not read.
So then the only upgrade over the R10/SC4 for range use would be a camera based system like the GC3?

Is there something cheaper then that?

What do you want it to do?

I've been down this road so much getting excited about each launch.  Buddy of mine has a Garmin R10 and he loves it.  We've taken it to the range a few times.  The data it claims to provide is crazy impressive (club path and AOA in a $600 unit).  The question is how accurate is it?  Because if it isn't accurate then it's better to not have it at all in my opinion.  Personally, the carry data is probably 95% accurate.  After that... ?  Also, our range is 10-12 yards downhill slope and poor quality balls.  Does the R10 have a feature for that?  Not sure.

We keep hoping but there just isn't going to be a perfect all-in solution in the sub $1,000 price range.  The Mevo+ ($2000) is probably your best solution for range use to get the most accurate and best data.  The Bushnell Approach is probably your best bet to get the most accurate data AND indoor/outdoor flexibility ($3500)

If you aren't willing to spend that then you truly have to decide what specific feature do I want a $500 launch monitor for and ignore the other features.

Callaway Epic Speed 9° Driver
Callaway Epic Speed 4W - Smoke IM10

Callaway Apex UW (21°)

Mizuno Pro 225 (4i); 223 (5-9i); 221 (PW)
Jaws MD 5 50°, Full Toe 54°, 58° PM Grind
Toulon Odyssey Chicago

Looking for the next upgrade from the R10. I guess spin and spin axis seem to be really important.

R10 should be all you need, with the caveat that it's at its best outdoors only. With a firmware update about a year ago it can now watch 50m of ball flight to actually measure ball flight characteristics. Spin axis should be pretty dang accurate outdoors now. I've always found measuring spin at the range to be a bit of a fool's errand though, as you're using range balls which can increase spin from your gamer by 15% or more. Outdoors your next step up is a Mevo+, which you can find a used unit for ~$1400 or so, or buy the updated hardware 2023 version for $2200.

MLM2 is a garage queen only with the inability to read spin/spin axis without the RPT ball.

Not sure any launch monitor is going to tell you how far you're hitting it downhill.
