Putter fitting worth it? 29" putter

I play a 29" putter with a lot of lead powder down the shaft.  Am I correct in thinking that Club Champion will not have anything similiar for me to demo?  

 

I roll the ball well with good speed control so my loft appears to be good.

 

I used the Ping putting app.  It seems to work better than I expected.  I'm very consistent and right on the edge of straight-slight arc which fits  my current putter (face balanced).  If I switch to a toe hang putter my arc increases and it also fits. 

 

My toe is up a few degrees and the ping putting app says I'm at 67 degrees. I was thinking of just getting the lie adjusted if I'm not gonna be able to demo anything similiar.

I play a 32" putter. I also play a 43" driver. 

 

When it comes to driver fittings, I feel very much the same way. A lot of trial and error testing at home has landed me something I really like. All my driver fittings have been with 45" drivers. It doesn't translate well.

 

For the putter...I find it is worth a fitting at your current setup. Get your performance data.  Roll what they have there and see what you like....then go from there. At the very least you will get your putter lie altered.

Testing your own putter is a good idea for sure but the odds of them having a 29" putter is probably unlikely but ask before hand, who knows maybe they toss in a short shaft to test. This is why I think someone like True Spec does putter fittings the best they can swap out length and grips as needed.

As I recall Club Champion just has a bunch of stock putters in the 33-35" range, don't remember them having any putters with an adjustable shaft. They will compare your stroke with your current putter against some of the longer ones. When it comes to putting if you have something that works best not to change it. Look at Steve Stricker, he's an excellent putter and his putter doesn't sit flat, the heel is raised.

There is a true spec near me also. They don't do putter fittings though.

You can always do the “fitting” with your current putter.  More like a “testing” session.  Verify stroke, length, lie, loft, weight etc.  At least get your best specs moving forward.  Use those numbers for your next wand.
