MGI ZIP Navigator AT (Costco) vs Alphard Club Booster V2

Hi guys, apologize if this is a re-post, I searched but didn't see a similar post about these two.  I've been researching both these models and see the pro's and con's of each, especially on the price point.  I am more inclined to spend money though on qualty and CS down the road.  Anyone own the MGI care to post their review?  Is it better than the V2 overall in quality and CS?  Would appreciate to hear some takes on the two. TYIA

From all accounts quality and customer service are great with Alphard. 
 

1. it’s sturdier/wider/less likely to tip. 
2. on the contrary it’s bulkier, less convenient to set up and store. 
 

that plus cost difference sums up the decision to me. If same cost I’d prefer the MGI bc it folds down nicely and sets up more easily. 
 

but if you already have a cart you’re saving close to $1,000 as long as you don’t mind the bulk and setup it’s a no brainer.

I have an Alphard on a Clic Gear that has over 300 rounds on it. I put on the front wheel swivel kit and have had to change the rubber pads on the clamps. Other than that I’ve been happy with it. There’s a couple of guys with the Costco MGI at my club and they really like those too. I would say if you already have a Alphard compatible push cart then go with the Alphard. If you have to buy a push cart, go with the MGI. On another note, I walk over 150 rounds per year.  I will never push a cart again.

MGI Zip Navigator AT with the remote was one of the best golf purchases I have ever made. 100% worth the money. Look through the other threads on it. Not many unhappy users.

I went thru this exact debate; lots of reading, research, etc.

 

I think I would have been very happy with the Alpard, but ended up buying a Zip Navigator.  I wanted both the remote AND the handle control, plus a couple of guys at my club with the Alpard told me that I’d really want the swivel front wheels for my Clicgear, BUT that with the swivel front wheels, the Clicgear wouldn’t fold up as small as normal.

Actually agree the handle control is nice to have a few times a round. 
 

fwiw I have a motocaddy m7 only bc of an eBay deal. If I could choose I’d choose the mgi from Costco. I like the wider front wheelbase.

I really like my Alphard with my swivel front wheeled Rovic cart.

The thing is a tank. I bought it used from a member on here in 2019. I've had to replace a couple parts on over the years, rubber pads, wheelie bar brackets.

It's been through a couple bunkers, a creek, and I hop over curbs multiple time a round that the MGI carts just can't do.

I think if I had an MGI, I would break it. The Alphard is really a tank, where with the MGI you really have to be careful with it. I just don't think it's built as tough. Especially the narrow front wheel ones that some of my friends bought outside of Costco. They tip way too easily.

I have the V2 and have been quite happy with it.  I did have a clic gear 3.0 which i fitted the V2 wheels on with the adapter kit.  There is a great FB group for the V2 which might help in your search.  All that being said, if I didn't already have the CG cart, I probably would have gone for a different electric.  Either the MGI that you mention or the CartTek, which is based in CA.  I really liked both of them, but the cost difference when I already had a cart I really liked didn't make sense to me.  The V2 works perfectly with the remote.  There is also a tether system and a follow system that they have introduced over the past few years.  For me, I like to see where the cart is at all times so the remote is perfect for me.

Thanks for the replies.  I got a pretty good deal at LV MotoGolf for Father's Day (better than Costco surprisingly)..look forward to testing it out soon.
