Charlotte Golfer - Hello...

Hey folks, I figured joining this forum would be a good way to binge on golf talk and such since I bore everybody else around me that doesn't exactly play golf. I played for a while starting at around 11 or 12 and on through my mid thirties before a bum job sucked up all my time and I stopped.

Just got back into it in January of this year and hope I can keep interest. I'm not exactly good (yet) but at least I've redeveloped my swing and maybe even improved it... 🙂

Some folks think I'm a Ricky Fowler fan because I love the color orange, but I honestly don't really watch golf. I bought the orange bag, wore my orange shirt, used my orange ball and sport an orange glove. It happens to be my favorite color, but I hadn't considered that folks would think I'm trying to mimic him.... LOL.

Most recently, I bought a nice Sun Mountain C130 bag. I had to get the 2022 since they had it in Orange.... LOL It's a nice bag... I love it!

The only new club in my bag is the PXG Gen 5 0311 driver I got as a gift. I'm still using my Adams Idea A1 Pro Irons, the Super SS Hybrid (And an A1 Hybrid) along with the Speedline F12 3 Wood..... While I am dying for an excuse to buy new clubs, I can hit these well enough to put that off until I hit 90 strokes in a round. 😄

I do need to invest in some nice grips, though. Sweaty hands in the summer heat make for a slippery grip... I wonder if anybody has a recommendation for good and tacky grips even when dealing with moisture? I can't imagine wearing a nitrile glove under the golf glove would be a very good idea...... LOL

This is the best answer I have for sweaty hands.  If its super humid, I'll end up applying it 2-3x per round and its a game changer when combined with the Z cord grips (best corded grips ever made in my opinion).

I'll have to give that a try. Today at the range I used a nitrile glove under the golf glove. It did seem to work, but it wasn't really ideal...
