Jpx 923 Tour, apex pro 23, i230, t150/200

Coming from a jpx923 forged and decent ball striker. Looking to try one of the cavity backs mentioned above. Not looking for distance as much.

Will go hit them and get fit but was wondering people's experience with these (I know the pros are still not released but maybe they are getting into fitting bays).

A little forgiveness would be nice, why I strayed from blades

The i230s would probably be the most forgiving, highest launching of this group

I had a set of jpx 923 tours and just recently switched into the new t100s. The t150 and t200 are much more forgiving imo.

I found the i230 and JPX 923 Forged to be very similar in terms of forgiveness. The Mizunos feel a little softer and go a little farther with slightly less spin, but that’s because of their stronger lofts.

 

T200 will be a significant step down in terms of feel, in my opinion. T150 is smaller and a really good iron, but I found it diggy compared to irons like the i230 and 923 Forged that have more rounded leading edges.

 

Honestly I think the JPX 923 Forged is a little underrated this year, maybe just because there haven’t been many big changes to that model over the last couple iterations.

 

Very interested in the new Apex lineup! I haven’t hit them yet though.

On the leading edge point, I think it totally depends on if swing is more shallow or steep 

I am shallow and I find the i230 to be more inconsistent on strike for me as a little too much bounce 

As an example I much prefer the interaction of the T150

Funny as I'm shallow n sweepy and find the i230s to be phenomenal irons for my game .....I've hit 14 GIR'S the last 2 rds with a variety of club usage

I too am shallow and sweepy. Went the T100 route from my i20s and suffice to say I am back in Ping with i230. Plus Ping and toe miss just work well together.
