Pebble beach

I wanted to play pebble and spyglass when I go to California but I don’t want to stay on the property. I read somewhere that some air bnb hosts can book 30 days in advance instead of 1? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I played Pebble this way.  I believe anybody can call and try and get a tee time 30 days in advance.  Give them a call, I'm sure they'll let you know what the current policy is.

Pebble used to be 1 day in advance.  Tough choice to spend the money without guaranteeing you can get on and play.  It is a bucket list trip and the Inn and Lodge are pricey but you are guaranteed a teel time.  Best of luck but don't be disappointed if  they can't get you out to late and you can't finish.  Pebble is a long round with groups taking photos, etc, allow yourself at least 5 to 5:30 hours to finish - hope this helps

If your day is not flexible and you really want to play as pointed out above if you come early and talk to the pro shop attendants they may get you out in the first few times not guaranteed to finish.  Kind of a bummer to miss 17 or 18, but if the pace is quicker that day you may finish.  I have done this twice and finished once and missed 18 once.  They have a guy that will bring a cart with headlights and help you finish 18 in the dark if you need.  This is in the worst case scenario obviously.

If you have a specific day in mind, call 2 days before to see what tee times are available. Then the day before, call them the second it hits 7am (8am on weekends) and book it.

I was there last summer and got on without staying on property (got on as a 2 some).  I called the week before and talked to someone in scheduling.  I started by saying 'hey, I know I can only get a tee time if it's within 1 day, but, I'm wondering if you could look at the tee sheet for the days that I would be able to play to see if there is even any possibility'... she read them off "Thursday there are 3 slots for a 2 some, Friday 1, Saturday 4, etc."

 

She gave me a couple of tips on when to call and what not... she then goes 'hold on a second' and when she came back to the phone she said 'How does Thursday at 6:30am sound?'  

 

And we were booked.  She said they are a little lenient on the 24 hour rule IF the Pebble Beach resorts are fully booked during those dates AND there are still open tee times.  Basically I didn't have an option of staying onsite so they booked me a tee time about a week out.

 

Logn story short, just give them a call.  But super nice.  Be aware that they have 'rules' and see what happens.  You never know.  You talk to the right person, on the right day and make the right connection... things can happen
