Help Identifying These Hogan Apex Woods

I'm trying to find the year of manufacture of these Hogan woods.

Edit: The stickers are almost worn off, but the 4 wood has a visible AMF logo on the sticker. Would this place them before the 1984 sale?

These are my gateway to classic-era golf equipment. I had hit some laminated woods, which weren't in the best condition, but couldn't get them off the ground. After lurking on this forum, I decided to jump on the opportunity to pick these up for $50. I'm a high-handicap player, who drives very inconsistently with my Wilson Staff D200 driver; on a good day I'm in the 230-250 yard range, while on a bad day every drive in 160-175 yards. I've now played two rounds with this Hogan driver and I could almost set my GPS to 210-225 yards. I'm around 170-180 yards off the fairway, with the 3-wood, which is less than my Wilson D100 3-hybrid, but overall, I'm really enjoying them.

Nice find, especially if these are persimmons (can't tell from the photo).

Someone will be able to tell you the ear based on the serial number. My guess is early to mid 1980's.

They are persimmon. They look beautiful.

Can't help you with the date either (though I'd also guess Eighties), but $50 for a full set of Hogan persimmons in what looks to be very playable condition is a great find🤩

'85-'88 in Maltby. My Maltby only goes to '88, so I don't know if they lingered a bit before Hogan went to the Lousiville Golf made head with the top stamp.

They are nice heads. I have set I put together from different thrift stores but need to refinish them, and re-shaft the 3, before I can play them. I find Hogan clubs from the 70s through the 80s to be very nice clubs and great players. I don't like the LG version as much, but many people do.

I think these are from 1982, but my memory gets worse every day. I was a Hogan devotee through most of the 80's and 90's with one "extra-marital affair" with a set of Eye 2's that I still have today. Great era for the company and some of the best golf clubs of any generation in this old dude's opinion.
