Sun Mountan VX, 3.5, or Ping HL?

I carry almost every round, especially if the course allows. Does anyone have experience with the Sun Mountain VX? Pic below. It seems to be better built than the 3.5, which seems sort of flimsy.

Or is the SM3.5 not as flimsy as it looks/feels? I'll have to take another look probably.

I'd probably lean toward the Ping HL, just because they're so well built, but i can see that club tangle getting real annoying real fast. It's been a while since i've had a Ping.

I think it's probably discontinued, all the other 2022 models also say Final Sale not eligible for return too

No experience with the VX. I own a HL and commonly carry SM bags as a caddie. No, I don’t think the 3.5 is flimsy. The 2.5 is a bit less sturdy but I’ve never had a problem with it. Really good option if weight is your biggest concern. Titleist carbon would be another good lightweight option.

I do think the HL is more sturdy, made better, and lasts longer. Ping bags always seem to be balanced the best and just carry well. Tangle does occur though. I play 14 clubs and have midsized grips on the irons and wedges. I would say every 5 rounds it happens enough to annoy me. Usually once a round there is a club that sticks going in or out of the bag.

(Disclosure. I’ve carried some version of a hoofer for the last 15 years or so. Maybe the tangle is worse than I think and it’s just something I’ve grown use to.)

Thanks, i appreciate this. Had a hoofer in the late 90's early 2000's and before that, a Ping before they had stands on the carry bags. Really like them, and their durability. Sort of leaning towards the HL or VX. No matter which one i get, sounds like all of the above are good options. Coming from a Nike Extreme Sport iv that i've used for the past 12 years or so. Surprisingly is a really good bag. Never a problem with the legs, and zippers. I never expected it would have lasted this long.
