Peter Millar is about as good as it gets in my opinion. Classic styles with quality materials that really drape nicely and complement the figure well (e.g. hiding a little bit of a gut). The retail price point is pretty crazy so it's a lot of Nordstrom Rack/Marshalls type finds or Poshmark finds for me.

RLX is another favorite that's great materials with classic style, but a little bit thinner than Peter Millar so excellent in the summer. Their shorts are also great in the summer heat.

Bobby Jones is another polo manufacturer I like and I've really enjoyed the polos of theirs that I've had.

If you're a cotton-or-die guy, Linksoul should be high on your list. They do mostly earth tones, so they're very popular in California where even though there's so much sun, not many people like the vibrant colors like they do back east. One of the great things about their cotton polos is that you can wear them off the course and not look out of place. Their shorts and pants are some of my favorites, but you don't ever want to get stuck in them on a hot and muggy day or else you could end up looking like Lucas Glover at the St. Jude.

Another great spot for polos is Nation Golf. They specialize in the mid-century throwback look with the hard collars and the long front button placket. You'll either love the look or hate the look but they are made well and at not a bad price point comparative to the Peter Millar/RLX type brands.

I don't have any Holderness & Bourne or Rhoback but have heard really good things about both. And eventually I want to see what the Sid Mashburn hype is all about but I would need my life savings to do it.

Few updates

H&B - The Performance Pique can snag the Performance Jersey is like most shirts. Their site lists each shirt material which is nice.

Stitch - Trying a pair of shorts and maybe pants again, tried the Heston before and zero stretch heard Stirling was better and cheaper. I'm also in between polo sizes and hunting for a 1/4 zip.

Harlestons - new brand to me they had a Mystery Box for $67 which had 1 polo and 1 outer layer and I am very, very happy with what I got. The Performance Crew is a nice layer, not thick but light layer and The Mixed Coromorant polo which to me fits similar to Johnnie-O. I'll definitely grab another box or two for the price honestly.

Dunning - Not sure if mentioned but really like their pants and shorts, their polos don't seem to fit me well but that's ok.

Other than that trying to find some more pant options out there that fit the quads.

For your pant search, have you tried Bonobos Highland Tour pants? Or the new 5 pocket links pants? Their “athletic fit” has more room in the quad area that is a very unique fit.

As for the original post.

Greyson is my favorite when they hit. The Sequoia Q-zip might be my favorite golf clothing item I own (although it is annoying how bad it wrinkles). But the Tate q-zip stinks. Their polos are super hit or miss for me though. I’m not a fan of the button down collar or the deep 4-button look. But the ones that do hit are phenomenal.

Rhoback is awesome and the most consistent, IMO. Their polos are fantastic. The sleeves on their polos are too long for me but nothing a quick hem can’t fix. Their hoodies are unmatched and q-zips are nice. I think their most underrated item are their vests. Best I’ve found. The new crewneck is nice too.

Peter Millar is nice but also hit or miss for me. I’m more comfortable finding their stuff on sale at Nordstrom Rack, etc than paying full price.

Johnnie-O is underrated. Their stuff is pretty great.

Bonobos can be hit or miss. The Highland Tour shorts are the best I’ve ever found, but I’m not a fan of the regular Highland or the Lightweight shorts. Their polos are nice but feel a step below the others.

Lululemon feels like they try too hard to blend athleisure fashion with function. Their polos are SO tight. I’m 6’1” 175-180 lbs with an athletic build but not to wear polos that slim fitting on the course. Need a little more freedom to swing. The ABC pants are my favorite pants, though.

Not recently past few times I was on their site options were near nothing. I'll check again, I did have a pair I never wore cause got too small but they're kinda thick material I believe the Highland pants.
