Curious to hear your thoughts on the Qi10 Driver? I couldn’t get the Stealth line of Drivers to work for me, so am hesitant to go back to TM Woods.

 

How are you liking the Takomo irons vs the ZX7 MKII’s? Are they an upgrade, or will you go back to the ZX7’s eventually?

Played two 18 hole rounds this week after being away for a month for work.

Very very impressed with the overall feel and performance of the Takomo’s.

had 80 and 81.. unfortunately having 35 and 38 putts doesn’t tell the true story of the irons.

They are so lovely at address, they really sit great behind the ball and shape the ball perfectly. Flight and sound is great, sound is strong off the face and they launch in the window I like personally. I noticed one or two flyers out of the rough but can’t say if that’s the iron or the way I delivered the club. I’m back away to work for a week but will keep everyone posted next week as I use them more. Cheers

Great update on Takomos - I maintain they are some of the best looking irons on the market and I'm happy to see the performance back up their looks (at least for you)!

Thanks mate. I love a headcover. I will have to do a post of all the headcovers I have.

 

Qi10 is superrrr forgiving compared to stealth. Also looks a lot nicer at address. I’ve only played two rounds with it but I’ve definitely found a retention in ball speed off of mishits.

 

Takomo v Srixon is a tough one. I love both heads. I think I could play either one and be very very happy with my choice.

So have taken the Takomo out of the bag.

I will be honest, they feel amazing.

the problem I have is that I am quite steep so the thicker sole of the 101T is not suited to my swing.

I will say one thing, the 101T feels just as great as my ZX7 and you would be hard pressed to feel a difference in material.

the temptation will get the better of me and I think I will order a set of the CB/MB combo.

 

In other news, I snagged myself one of the Jailbird Cruisers. Have only played one round but the sound and feel are fantastic, a better review will come after a few rounds of play.
