Thoughts on the UW?  I have one of the original versions and got the 21* because everyone said they were so crazy hot and I never really thought it was all that hot.  How does the newer version fit in the yardage gaps (hot or not)? 

 

Also same question on the Srixon.

 

I really like the idea of the bag set up, and do something similar with the 3h, 4 driving iron, but instead of going 5i from there i use a strong 6i to fill the gap.

I LOVE the UW… it’s potentially my favourite club. Fave seems nowhere near as hot as the previous model and my gapping with it seems a lot better.

The sound with the LA Olyss is really firm. It thuds off of the face, its got a real strong flight.

I’ve always struggled with a 4i, I just found the 4i in a driving iron design has really helped with my confidence hitting one. I had the Tour AD in a 2i before the UW and knew the shaft was the perfect shaft for the 4!

I got a bit bored and built a set of Yururi Tour with LA L Series 120.

These things are stunning! Face is beautiful. 
They almost have onset which I love for around the greens!

Great set up, dude.  Love the Betti wedges.  Did you try the ZX5 irons before you tried the ZX7s?  Trying to get some info on choosing the ZX7.  I play to a 9 HI and was wondering whether the ZX5 would be a better iron for me; going to hit both when I get fitted.

Love the head covers too.  Enjoy.

Nah mate. I’ve always struggled with a thicker soled iron with how I deliver the club.

with the V sole on these I find my turf interaction to be great. 
For reference I’m a 6 handicap.

they are super easy to hit and joy to play with.

They are already showing signs of wear. 

Problem is my home course, the bunkers are brutal.

Real hard to go past a forged wedge though.

That's the only downside to black finish, nobody seems to be able to make a durable one. Forged is the only way to go, just dumped my black finish SM9's for some Mizuno T22's (raw finish) and am loving them

I will caveat my opinion on them acknowledging the fact that I only have 4 rounds with them so far. I live in the US (Salt Lake City specifically) so this time of year I have to travel south to get any actual golf in. I was down in the desert at the beginning of the year for an amatuer event and brought the new wedges with me. They are phenomenal! And at a price point of 120$ USD for the previous model T22, they are a steal. I play Miura Irons, and they are just tad clickier out of the sweet spot than the irons. But I think that's because they use a different steel (1025E in the Mizuno, S20C in the Miura).  The biggest difference is that these Mizunos spin like CRAZY.  I can effortlessly get 12000 Rpm out of my 47 degree, so I have to hit a lot more dead-wristed, hold off finish shots to tame the spin. Any bunker shots that I play with more an open face, trying to catch it a little more clean, have to be carried all the way to hole because they will not roll out. I'm a huge fan of them!

What Miuras do you have? I love my 101s, I will never sell. I think once you go a forged iron like that, you want every iron/wedge to be forged and feel that good. The wedges sound fantastic and might have to check my local store to see if they have any left in stock.

They're unbelievable, I'm gonna play those heads as long as I can keep getting my hands on them. I got lucky and snagged a box of mint condition heads for 800$ a few years ago 🙂

I'm just waiting for a set of Takomo 101T to arrive. May build them with some LA Shafts. 

Plus just made a custom Taylormade Juno, so we will see what that's like.

Love the headcovers - I have the exact pattern of your 3W on my Hybrid, but with the NLU skeleton logo on it.  Also, love those Takomos - curious to get your take on them.

Awesome headcover. 
Takomo’s feel great. Love the flight I get with them. a lot higher launch than my srixons. Only one round in. We will see what else I think of them

101T are awesome. Behind the ball they sit so great. Very easy to hit and launch. Which I like to see.

Good stuff - I've always loved the look of the Takomos but never hit them.  Def will follow along with your updates!
