Arccos Sensor on Broomstick Putter

I have a love/hate relationship with Arccos. Overall it is awesome, but if they would listen to their users they could dial the system in so it would be awesome all around,.

 

I just got a broomstick putter and my left thumb wants to rest on top of the putter grip. If the putter sensor is on there it feels awful compared to the regular grip cap. If I put my thumb up there it covers the sensor and turns it off so putts are not registered, making the sensor worthless, How do others handle this?

 

If I leave the sensor on there, I could hit the putter against my shoe after my putt, I think that is one option and maybe the best if I want putts registered. I could put that sensor in my pocket and tap it after putts as well since I hate the feel of it.

 

Thoughts?

 

As far as improvements to Arccos? 

1. Change the sensors to nonpowered and maybe make them an RFID shaftband? - They really are annoying having to screw them back in all the time and I want to grip the end of the grip and not feel them
2. Make the damned fonts in the app bigger so you can see them
3. In the app when you are setting the pin, put a black background box behind the yardage so that if it is over a bunker you could actually see the damned number - this one pisses me off because surely someone from the company uses the app and every time I have this happen I shake my head wondering how it ever got released with this in there.

 

That is a start, but there are many more if they would only ask for and use customer feedback

Have you tried emailing that feedback to Arccos?

I don’t even use my putter sensor. I paired it, but it stays in my bag. After each hole I just manually add the putts. You can see your track around the green when using your phone for GPS, so it’s easy to get the distances right. It’s no additional hassle since I’d be verifying the pin position and making sure the putts registered from the sensor anyways.

I have emailed them so much feedback without a peep from them, I have given up trying. I love Arccos but I also hate it because it could be so much better than it is.

Absolutely brilliant!  Thank you!  Today I was holding the sensor and banging it to try and get it to register my putts - which did not work 🙂  Looking at my track registered from the link shows where I putted from - you have made my day!  Thanks agian!

I also just note putt distances on my scorecard to verify the data with whatever the Link says.

I haven’t used Arrcos for several years, but I didn’t like the feel of the sensor under my thumb.  I’m nit picking here, but it also changes the length of a broomstick slightly; not an issue with the rest of the clubs, but I’d didn’t like it on the putter.

 

I don’t recall any issues with the sensor not picking up putts, though.

I know I have replied about this elsewhere, but I too did not enjoy the sensor under my thumb and had misreads, but honestly also have had better luck just entering my putts manually. It actually just became a bit easier for me overall. I throw the pin location on quickly and approximately and then just enter # of putts and the distance of each one, no problem. No sensor on the putter anymore, and I'm happier as a result! 😏
