After years of my ego not allowing me to play “shovels” of any type I too took advantage of the 50% trade in bonus and picked up a custom set of QI irons 6-AW with Nippon 105 +3/4 inch long and 2 up.  Could not be happier with my decision.  Hitting more greens in regulation and loving the irons.  Feel, sound, distance and forgiveness are all excellent.  No, not Mizuno forged soft but they don’t feel hard or dead either.  Currently playing to a 9 hcp and expect to drop some strokes now that my iron play is improving.

I’m think of doing the same thing. I’ve got to much stuff mine as well trade it all in while 50% is going. Also just realizing I will not be playing as much as kids sports start taking away days.

Have you noticed any left/draw bias with these irons?

I can say that with the 4-iron, even with the slightly greater offset, I have not noticed any greater tendencies toward draws or hooks vs. the 790 5-iron.

I just got a 4 iron and it tends to make a an audible whoosh/whistle in the downswing.  Is this normal?

A little but generally they want to go straight.
