Old Scotty Cameron Headcovers

Good day all,

 

I have a Scotty head over from a custom shop Reno that is in awesome shape, but the Velcro is shot.  So much so that it falls off my putter onto the ground 1-2 times per round.  Is there any way to remedy this or is it time to retire it?

People have taken them to seamstresses to replace the Velcro. 
others have sewn them shut to make it more of a slip on cover.

I've also seen magnetic conversion where a magnet is just sewn under a patch the size of the velcro.
