ProV1 golf balls numbered 9 wanted

I went to golf show today and spoke to a Titleist rep and he said that I could get ProV1's with the number 9 on them. I had to order them through a golf shop at a minimum of 6 dozen. I don't want to use my golf shop as I want to be the only one in my area with a number 9 ProV1. Kind of selfish I know but what can I say. If anyone hears of any golf shops ordering ProV1's with the number 9 on them let me know..

why dont you just order 6 dozen for yourself and have a supply of new prov's for most of if not all of the season.

Yeah you mine as well just order 6 dozen of the #9. No one else will get them since you'll be ordering them all for yourself, and it's not like you won't use them. You'll have a nice stash!

If you order, they will only order the six dozen for you, however anyone could go in and order the same order.

I asked about my local shop about getting #9's last year. They told me Titleist said to him that 12 dozen was the minimum order and there was a $50 upcharge per DOZEN! I wouldnt have a problem paying a $50 upcharge and ordering 12 dozen but a $600 upcharge is ridiculous even if #9 has been my lucky number my whole life! If anyone has heard different from Titleist this year please post.

I don't know for sure as I've been out of the business for a while, but when I was, I wouldn't have expected such from Titleist--they're usually pretty accommodating.

Titleist has Pro V1's availalbe in "high numbers" as a 'stock option.' You should be able to find the 5,6,7,8 no problem.

 

To get another number, like a 9 may have an additional up charge, but you sould be able to special order them. The shop should sell you ALL of them for a special order, they wouldn't keep them to sell in store.

I was told by someone at Titleist last year that they were no longer doing custom requests for #'ering. When they did do it like was already mentioned it was a $50 upcharge per dozen. Wonder if they started doing it again???

I get mine at Golf Galaxy. It says "5.6.7.8" on the box.

Well I was told yesterday by a rep that since Adan Scott uses the #9 that no surcharge would apply... I was also told that the balls had to ordered by a golf shop and not by an individual. I will have to settle for high numbers i guess..

Dealing with Titleist Direct S*cks...tthe customer service is not great, if you ask your rep it MAYBE possible to get them for a lesser upcharge, but as far as I know it is $50 per dozen plus shipping.

 

As far as the Taylor's go, if I remember, it was very inexpensive and they will put any two digit number.

I just called them to check for sure. You can order #9 in Prov and ProVX for a VERY small upcharge and you dont have to order a certain amount, so you can order them by the dozen. THe program where you could order double digits is gone. So in regards to the OP just go to any Titleist account and they can order them for you.

I also just talked to Acushnet and they said that there is a minimum order of 6 dozen balls and that the upcharge is up to the discretion of the retailer.

Just buy #3's and use a black sharpie to make it look like a 9...it's a lot cheaper!!!

Expect to pay an upcharge similar to what you pay for personalized balls or a bit more. Perhaps the $50 amount mentioned was the price for the balls with the upcharge. Good luck.

Thats because titleist is a wholesaler. They don't sell stuff, they make it and sell it to people who sell it.

 

Go walk up to a ford plant and try to buy a car at invoice and see how far you get. Same thing.
