Angel Park vs. Reflection Bay

I've searched and read a fair amount of what people have written in the past, but nonetheless could use some help deciding.

My sister and her husband are flying out from NJ--and I'll be coming in from Calif--this weekend. I've got a time reserved at both Angel Park-Mountain and at Reflection Bay. My brother-in-law is a 17-index, I'm an 11, my sister's a 22. Reflection Bay seems more of a "destination course" and more visually appealing for a tourist than AP--is that true? RB seems pretty challenging: White tees are 71.8 / 136 from only 6,391 yards. (Fwiw, their home course is pretty short and very tight, so maybe that's a fit?)

What would you do? What else should I consider? They're pretty far away from each other--any climate considerations?

My opinion: You don't go to the desert to play Florida golf. RB is very resort and florida feeling. AP at least provides more of a desert feel and views.

That being said, they are decent options. I would play TPC Vegas, Bears Best, or Rio Secco before those 2 courses. Also Cascata (but that is $$).

Unfortunately you are coming on a bad weekend. Depending on any changes the stormy weather and cold front are coming in. So it is going to be pretty chilly with rain possible. I would probably not play RB if it rains Th or Fri - it might be soggy.

We played Angel Park - Mountain on Saturday in perfect weather. It was a great day. Course was excellent for us!

Angel Park is an excellent facility. Great location, spectacular views, and a staff who do a wonderful job.

Angel Park is a higher handicap player friendly course. I use it as for a warm up round before a large 4 day tournament I play in. Typically is not too busy (we play it in August) and it’s good for taking practice shots or Mulligans if that’s your thing.

Maeve it’s all relative, but my two cents is that there’s a lot of danger there to categorize it as “high handicap friendly”. (I only played the Mountain course.). Eg, I wouldn’t take my mom or dad there.
