I bought the 11.5* ‘23 version (set to 13*) a few weeks ago.  Absolutely love it.

I bought this cosmetic update and am picking it up today - got the 13.5*.  This one will not get played, but now I’ll feel less guilty about hitting my 11.5 off the deck!!  Love having more copper and a bigger old-school logo (wish they never got away from those things - the copper is iconic).

Changes in my bag: I kept my 9* driver (Ping g430 10K).  I set the ‘23 BRNR to a 2 wood loft, adapter settings and shaft to promote higher flight and fade bias, with 3 wood length. The 9* is currently set to promote lower flight and a draw.  I altered my 3 wood to 4 wood loft to help the gapping throughout the bag.  From there, I play 3 hybrids (TSr 3, 4, and 5) set 4* between. 6-9 irons, 3 wedges (48, 52, 58), putter.

For those on the fence, I recommend giving these a whirl.  Will work much better for a lot of those who make contact on the downstike off the tee.  There ARE playable off the deck too, I’ve hit some really good ones sans tee.

I need to test one on grass. Fitting bays do nothing for me. The 2 wood loft is a great idea

I am only one round in with my 13.5 mini driver copper and I absolutely love it so far.   I only hit it off the tee as a driver replacement and haven’t tried it off the deck and really don’t intend to use it that way.

Pros

- Easy to hit

- Easy to work both ways

- Easy to hit high or low

- Distance loss compared to my previous TSR2 10.5 degree driver is minimal to non existent

Cons

- Pull draw miss if I try to go after it too hard

I played it at 13.5 degrees and the only change I made was putting the heavy weight in front.  I do think I’m in the minority of people that the 13.5 can be a driver replacement but so far it’s exactly what I wanted.  I’ve struggled to get traditional drivers in the air with the correct launch angle and I’ve been playing 10.5 and 11 degree heads for a while and still wasn’t able to optimize my shots.  I’ve hit 16.5 degree fairways within 10-15 yards of driver distance for a while.

Shaft is Hzrdus black 4G 70 gram 6.0 tipped 0.5” and plays 44”.

I played all last season with the 13.5 and have recently added the 11.5.

I 100% agree with your "con" and I face the same low pull hook miss when I forget to finish my backswing and try to add power back with my shoulders or arms. But when I maintain good tempo the ball flies beautifully.

As far as off-the-deck use I felt exactly the same way until I actually tried it. If the ball is sitting up decently the 13.5 will get it up off the turf. Give it a shot.

Do you hit down with it like a 3 wood or up like a driver ?

I think if you tee it low (similar to a 3w) then you can hit down.  I think the cool thing so far is you can tee it a little higher, swing a little more up, and get the high launch/low spin driver thing going.  I was getting 12-13 launch and about 2100-2200 rpms out of it with contact above the center but 9-11 with 3k off the deck or low tee.

Thanks I’m sure I will at some point

I hit the 24 versus the 23 this week and honestly couldn’t tell much difference. Is there anything different from the 23 on this other than cosmetics?

I’m 99% certain it’s just a cosmetic change from the 2023 to the 2024. The 2023 is about perfect so me personally am glad they made just cosmetic changes. I really like the copper line on top as it helps me with alignment.
