Lost my 8-iron (and whoever picked it up lied about finding it). It just turned up at a resale store!

Update-I posted a 1-star google review after getting nowhere with the shop. That got their attention: they apologized, black-balled the guy who brought the club in, and gave me a full refund. I changed the review to a 5-star once they did this. I now think the employee was clueless and didn't think to ask a supervisor what he should do in a situation like this. It seems obvoius to me, but I'm a business owner. Never send a customer away angry or without their questions being answered.

The supervisor at the shop assumed that my club, along with others, came from the lost and found at my club. I suppose that's how they get most of their single clubs. I told him that certainly wasn't the case, as all of the guys working in both the pro shop and employee ops know me and were probably getting tired of me asking 3x a week if it had been turned in.  In fact, the pro was super pissed when I told him it had shown up at a reseller. It turns out it was brought in by an individual (duh-that's what I told them initially).

I didn't ask, but it sure would be nice to know who brought it in. it was suggested by my club that there would be disciplinary action if it turned out to be a member.

I'm glad to hear the store ultimately made it right.  I thought it was crazy that the employee didn't AT LEAST offer to sell it back to you at their cost.

I would suggest that you talk to the supervisor at the shop and have them call the club with the name of the person that brought in the club.

1) I asked people as I drove by. Just the groups though

2) Yes, absolutely it's my club. 8 iron Mizuno MMC MP20 with X100 120g DG shafts, new Velvet standard grips, and wear pattern identical to the 7 and 9. The guy at the shop said "looks like your club, sorry about that" as he proceeded to charge me full price.

My 9-iron is underneath, 8-iron is on top.

Let’s not ignore the fact that you have great ball striking.

Is @RoyalMustang = Freddie Couples in disguise? i.e. those "toe-side of centre" hits = Freddie's trademark?

Haha-I wish! I got these when I started playing 4 years ago (hadn't picked up a club in nearly 25 years at that point). My miss was very toe heavy: the marks have been working their way inward over the past 12 months. I've been working with my wife, who's getting her TPI Medical 3 next week.

Trouble is, the range I was at for the first 2 years had very sandy balls, so those initial marks aren't going anywhere. GIR is up though; my ball path has moved from a draw shape to a higher fade for the most part as I make my improvement journey. I'm simply rotating better due to the TPI work.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
