tour burner loft

have launch monitor data

So i got on a launch monitor with a tour burner 9.5 stiff stock shaft. it was launching between 14.8 and 16.6 with spin from 3300 to 4016. It was carrying about 270 yards. pretty much ballooning on me so if i wanted to put a whiteboard in it would it fix my problem? thanks

9.5 ° will probably be fine if you allready hit it high with the rombax

you might want to switch to a lower spinning ball like the pro v1x if you launch it high enough but still generate too much spin with your driver

I'm not a club fitter but I'd say that 9.5 loft is too much loft. Whiteboard would be a good shaft, and so would the Rombax Z but you need something along the line of 8.5 degrees of loft. You may need someone to look your swing over to make sure you aren't getting too steep. Also, you may need to be leaning more toward an X flex shaft. :russian_roulette:

p. s. That Burner tour model could be anywhere from 9.0 to 10.5 degrees of loft too.

yea i realize that the loft could be off. i have an x flex whiteboard to put in the club so i am leaning to a 9.5 but 8.5 might be a thought, ill check the specs of the stock shaft first

i checked and it has 3.1 torque 60 grams and the tgw site it is for a player who wants a mid to low ball flight if that is the case than maybe a 8.5 and a diamana wb would do the job. what is the ideal launch angle and spin rate?

Like I said before, I'm no club fitter but I'd guess your 270 yard carry would equate to in the neighborhood of 105 mph clubhead speed.

The other shaft that's parallel to your 60 gram Diamana Whiteboard would be the Fujikura Rombax 6Z 08, I've played neither but from what I've read, they are both tip stiff, low spin, and low launch.

p. s. I almost forgot the launch angle and spin rate part, I'd guesstimate that to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 degrees of launch angle and between 2200 and 2500 spin rate range. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will help me out here.
