i got a "free" wedge from them once, when i was young (still in high school) and didnt know any better. played about a half a round with it and left it on the golf course for some other sucker to pick up.

 

a few weeks later a got another phone call asking how i liked the wedge, I told them i didnt that it was a piece of crap, the guy says Oh ok well we have new clubs for you to try that may work better and so on. i told them to never call me again i was going to stick to TM titleist, ping, brands that i can trust, then he went in to a rant on how they where ripping me off and warrior clubs where better. so i asked him how many tour pros play their clubs and hung up.

thats for the heads up guys. I almost tried this, but luckily with your guys help I avoided it. Not I can put the 500 (that I probably would have never gotten back) on some big berthas!

If the devil owned a golf company, it would be Warrior Golf. They are like student loan people, they won't leave you alone. They are however a great prank to play on someone you don't care too much for.

I got their post card last summer I think it was, and called them up just to see what they're whole deal was. The guy was like so you like golf right, and you want to try out new stuff. I was like okay sure, lets do this if you're really going to send it to me for free to try. He's like well great, lets just get started then and get all your information so I can ship it out...we'll need your credit card number. I'm like for what, it's supposed to be free. The guy starts to tell me that they charge full price on your card as deposit and they'll refund you when or if they get the clubs back. I was like okay buddy, you have yourself a great day. You should have heard how long he tried convincing me to just give it a try, it was terrible. "I'm the owner of the company, this is just a deal you can't pass up" blah blah blah. I think he even asked me if I knew what the TaylorMade R7 was, and upon acknowledging yes, he was like well our driver is just like that...but better :cheesy: . Haha, really? How might that be true, and why are you not rivaling all other club manufacturers then? I give people credit for trying to run some interesting businesses, but this one is just plain shady.

Funniest thing ever this morning, on the 1st tee (my back 9 actually).. a 4 some was getting ready to tee off and just after the guy did 10 pushups (yeah no bs, he did 10 pushups before he tee'd off ON THE TEE BOX NONE THE LESS) he was raving about this great deal on these clubs that were just as good or better than the Cally's, TM's, and Titleists of the world and how he saved $600 when he bought a full set of clubs and even got 3 free hybrids...

 

Then he duck hooked his YELLOW GREEN NEON BALL in to the scrubs.. took him 6 shots to get to the green where he proceeded to 4 putt.. oh the 1st hole from the whites was like 370 :) LOL.. clubs were working well for him..

sounds like the guy i played behind yesterday... except he was playing mizuno's and pro v1-x. i guess being a poor player has as much to do with lack of skill as well as lack of judgement.

Run away...fleee. My dad got stuck with their junk. Even though he got his irons for free. I guess that why he still has them because they ended up being free. They even tried fitting him over the phone with no idea of what kind of game he has. Unfortunatley, he fell for it. I get stuff in the mail from them every 2-3 months. Just toss it. :drinks:

He doesn't know a whole lot about golf and doesnt play and thought he would do me a good deed and get a "free" golf club for me to mess around with. Although I appreciate the thought (for that is what matters in the first place :friends: ), WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO DO TO GET OUT OF THIS!!!! The stuff came today to his office (all thousand pieces of "free" stuff). Nothing has been opened. If he sends it back now will all be ok or is it too late?

Their Sales and Marketing practices might not be the most ethical in the world but either are Calloway and Top Flight. The most popular Golf equipment manufacturers is all about brand name recognition, promotions, advertising and endorsements. Really, Golf Clubs have as many moving parts in them as a brick. Research and Development is very subjective and difficult to substantiate and prove. More often than not the generic or knock off will produce the same results.
