Iomic Grips???

Experience with these?

I have these grips on all my putters, but I was wondering how many of you have them or have had them on your irons.

I'm curious. That's a lot to spend on grips so I just wanted to get some feedback from those who have used them. How do they compare to.....lets say.....Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord.

I've also heard that maybe some new stuff will be coming down the pipe from Iomic?? Anyone else heard this or have any more info??

I love ribbed grips and I would love to see more ribbed options from all the major grip manufacturers. They have some Iomic ribbed grips up on eBay at the moment, but like I said before, spendy!

I have one on my driver and on one of my putters. Nothing really special about them except for the colors they come in.

Iomic grips are very common in Asia. Don't know about the US...

 

But their initial selling point was that they were ionized so that players will have better blood circulation blah blah blah...

Well, I personally don't believe that.

 

As for the grip itself, it's just ok for the iron and woods. They have good grip but I am personally not a big fan.

 

I just like their putter grips. Currently using the midsize Iomic putter grip but since it's quite heavy, it has reduced my

swing weight by 6 points..... Well, the original grip was too light to begin with anyway so this was kind of expected (SC Studio Style Red Thin grip) But I like the texture for my iomic putter grip.

 

They sold like hot cakes when they were first released but players went back to Golf Pride or Lamkins here in this part

of the globe. Not too popular anymore...

Skip the iron grips. They're not worth the cash. Nothing special.

Iron grips are nothing special just like a winn but the putter grips are great.BUT VERY PRICY

I'm very curious to see how tacky the new 3Gen REL grips are. I really liked the Performance Plus 3Gen grip...just don't like the weight or reduced taper. I just tried an Iomic grip on my driver shaft the other day...it was quite nice. I tried one without a glove...no problems. It has a really nice firm feel to it...feels stable. I hope the much less expensive Lamkin version does the same...no reason to buy the same exact thing for double the price!

From the reviews I have been reading, the new Premio grips are going to give Iomic a run for their money. More affordable and many seem to like the feel better than Iomics. The Premio website is giving a free grip away to anyone that will try it. $3 S&H and they send you a grip. They have about 8-10 colors to choose from. Looks like nice stuff.

i actually like the iron grips but you can get some tacki macs at a third of the price that feel the same.

premio can not hold up to iomic and they will go away quickly. I tried their free grip and when I first got it I thought "Wow this thing feels great!" and it did but once I got it on the club with solvent and tape the grip was to squishy. It moves in your hand. put your thumb on it and apply a little pressure and watch the grip move. This causes torque and I felt hurt accuracy. Iomic does not do that. I am using a sticky 2.3 with extra wraps right now on my driver and I love the feel but it is starting to wear and it is way to early for it to wear. I have an x grip that I am going to try next. I do not think the lamkin 3gen are sticky enough so they are out as well.

Hard to find a grip to my liking for sure. So far GPMC are the best and that is what are on my irons but they have issues with me as well haha.

The search continues for sure but iomic grips are a great over all grip and I am fairly certain that the x grip will hold up better than the sticky so I may have found my grip but only time will tell.

Out of curiosity, I bought an Iomic and put on my driver. It is a dandy grip, but not five times better than the ITomic.
