Thinking about getting a set

So I'm considering getting a set of 1025M's. Whats your experiences with them?

had them for 4 years, loved them, need to be at least a 12 with good ball striking to take advantage of them. mine had dgs300 and very nice flat ballflight. only reason i sold them was i started getting board.

I'm currently playing them and love them! I've had them in the bag for the past 4 years or so, and haven't gotten tired of them. I'm using Rifle 6.0's in mine. I've been thinking about the new MacGregor MT Pro-M's as a replacement, but since I still enjoy these things every time I play, why change? Still a very classy looking club!

This is probably the most under-rated club ever made IMO. I have been playing them off and on since they first came out. I even used a set for backup when I was on staff with another OEM. They are especially forgiving for a blade. The V-foil actually gets enough weight down low to launch the ball fairly high, even with the stock DG shaft. Everybody that hits mine loves them, including my brother. I just picked up a set for him off eBay and he loves them, even though he is a fairly high handicapper with access to many different clubs.

Had a set when they came out. Always had a fond place in heart for Macs. As beautifull an iron as you can find. I thought they were very forgiving for a blade. At a 10 HC, I just wasn,t getting my normal distances with them so I traded.

I've been scouring the net for a set of 1025 CM's, found a set in GG but it had rifle 4.5's and they wanted an absurd amount of money for them.

There hasn't been an easier to hit blade out there. It does have a smidge more offset, whether that is to your liking.

I agree with the offset comment, which is probably why they're "forgiving". Ive played these a long time and you dont need to be a low capper at all. In fact I believe bagging a "player's" iron will eventually improve your ball striking if you stick with it.

I agree with the above replies. If there ever was a game improvement blade, this would be it.

 

It is my gamer set, but for now I play BH-5 due to lack to practice, once I have groomed my swing again, they will be back in the bag. Nice to look at and easy to hit. Since the BH-5 do not have a 3 iron and I am somehow "hybrid challenged" I used the 1025C 3 iron and it is my go to club on tight par 4s and so.

I have them in the bag. They're fitted with DGR300 shafts @ 1" under (5iron 37.5") w/ 2" stip of 1" wide lead tape on the back of every club. High and workable ballflight. I will only change for the Pro-M's, if they are as good.
