TaylorMade 2008 TP Forged Irons....

Had them a couple of weeks now and loving them more and more.

 

I instantly liked the look which I appreciate may not be everyone's cup of tea.

 

Went to test them and they were hands down the best club I tested, I really loved the weight, look of the top line, feel etc.

 

Since I've had them on the course, my accuracy is up, control is much better and distance noticeably improved, though I was using cast clubs before.

 

I am delighted, they weren't cheap but I absolutely love them!

Tested them at the range, stunning in every sense of the word. Lovely soft fell and pretty forgiving as well

I've only seen pictures of them on WRX but never in any of the stores...

I have a set (4-PW) of those for sale. Mint condition, only a few balls hit at the range. Location is Germany.

im confused at the name

are these the R7 TP forged or are they called TP forged or are they called R7 Japan Forged?

 

Do these feel/play more like the r7 tp or the RAC forged? None of my local shop carry these but I would definitely like to give them a try before biting the bullet.

Need the experts help/advice. debating between these which have only been released in Eur/Japan, and the MB TP smoke irons. Can anyone tell me why these Forged TPs were never released in the US? Did they not think that this iron would sell or do well in the US market? Do these irons play like the tour burner or the r7 tp's?

 

Im leaning towards the forged because of the cavity back design. Is it safe to assume that the MB is a more demanding set then the japan forged TP?

just looked at the TM site. What is the difference between these (japan forged tp) and the RAC forged TP that Verplank, Jason Day, and Lonard plays?
