looks like there is going to be a lot of PGA tour pros coming from this site.. dream on

Hey man cmon, I wanna be a professional golfer with such a burning desire that it keeps me up at night (seriously)

On practice days I practice 5-8 hours, and I play 3 times a week. I have only been playing golf for 2 years and my handicap is 3.8.

If I dont make it to the tour then I will not get a job... I will practice even harder, nothing will keep me from being on the PGA Tour.

Cavity-Blade :clapping:

Good Luck with that buddy... but you gotta find money somehow.

I think you need to work on playing college golf before all that, because I don't like your chances of making it on tour, there are just soooo many good players out there.

Seriously guys. As much as I support chasing dreams, I support being realistic just as much. Let's face it. If you're not already contending in national tournaments in your teens, and if your handicap isn't already low, your chances of getting on tour are slim to none. I'm not trying to be a dick, and I'm not saying that it's impossible, I'm just saying that while attitudes like Cavity-Blade's are great, they're really unrealistic

Most people don't realize the huge difference between scratch golfers and successful touring pros. Realism and acceptance are just as good on the golf course as optimism.

Sorry for the rant, but a lot of juniors need to realize how many good players are actually out there.

The chances of becoming a successful professional golfer are slim to none even for those top ranked national juniors. But, it doesn't matter.

All these juniors that are heading off to college are doing the right thing. They are preparing themselves for life after golf.

Any junior that goes to college to improve their golf game isn't thinking clearly. Golf games don't improve in college, if anything you're just behind two years on the kid who took two years off and trained at an Academy in Sweden or Austrailia.

You'd be surprised how many Nationwide and PGA Tour players were not successful juniors or collegiate golfers. So, I'm going to step in and tell every junior out there that dreams of being the best player in the world to completely ignore you - you have no clue what you're talking about.

Dream on.
