Wholesale on the button back is 300 which isn't enough of a difference from the other selects to justify a 1000 price tag. TGW does the same thing with all its limited Scottys (prices them way high). With the amount of button backs made the price will be a lot lower than a 1000 on ebay pretty quick.

Im thinking they will go for $499 to 699. I mean T10;'s were going solidly for over 500 so i would expect the same.

 

This is a putter however I would definitly game.

Thanks for sharing the cost. I think I figured it out.

 

The unit cost is naturally higher because of this thing called "economies of scale." Since only 2008 button backs will be produced, then the fixed costs associated with making the putter will give a higher cost per putter. Also since it is a specialty market, Cameron should look for higher margins because he is selling at a much lower volume. This all translates to a higher cost.

 

As to the poster requesting the esteemed nickpoz to post pictures, there really would be no need. By the time he would have pictures to share, the pics would already be out in the Cameron and Titleist sites or through some promotional materials which will be shared here such as catalog scans or media files.

 

 

I was told the buttonbacks putters would be $500 retail and $350 cost. also only 4,000 made. my friend works at a course and just ordered one.

 

I've heard there are supposed to be 4000 of each model made or 8000 total in this limited release.

Wholesale is higher than $300. The limiteds in the past have been 300, but this one is not.

Our rep is in Australia at the moment checking the new offerings out. I had to txt him and had to get my name penciled in for a Squareback 1 and a buttonback. There goes the credit card.

 

Does anyone know if the button back will be in only one shape as i would like one looking like a Select 1.5. Thanks!

This Limited release is only available in a Newport and Newport 2 head.

With you guys finding them for $450, should I argue that down a little? I know the each account only gets one, so I don't have much time to give my decision. Little heads up on the Buttonback prices. The wholesale price went up from what they originally quoted. Not sure when it did but my rep told me the price he first told me wasnt the final price

The putters on "the art of putters" site are still Circle T's...I wouldn't count on the price dropping at all.

With that many produced I really think they will not be hard to come by after the initial stages and the prices will be less than 999 on ebay. They will likely get a lot closer to the retail price. Right now you can get them buy-it-now on ebay for 750 with no takers yet.
