Precept u-tri tour

Is the TM Red LDP the closest current equivalent? Or...

I just know that at some point, Wal Mart will stop carrying the u-tri tour. Then what? the u-tri is soft, but not ,mushy, it putts great, it has the right amount of spin for me around the greens, it's long and mid-trajectory off the tee, with the kind of workability that isn't akin to excess, bad side-spin. Plus, it is durable and feels GREAT off every club. It even sounds good.
Not to mention the $23.98 price tag at Wal-Mart. I would pay $40.00 for this ball.
I don't know how they made this ball, or why they discontinued it, or IF they even did discontinue it.

From what I have heard, the ball that seems to come close to this is the TM RED LDP.
Would you agree, or do you have another choice.

I know this sounds twisted, but I just need to prepare myself for that day when I turn the corner at the golf isle at Wal Mart and the u-tri's are gone. I love the u-tri and it's perfect for me.

B330-RX is pretty much the same ball IMO.

The U-Tri Tour really is a GREAT ball. I played it for a long time before a became a staffer for another. From what I've tried the B-330S is pretty close.

I agree about the b330s. I have not played the new b330s tee to green yet (only putted and chipped with it) but it feels more like the u-tri tour than the 2007 b330s to me. The 2007 b330s putts a little firmer to me. I love everything about the u-tri tour.

It was kind of a specialist ball for the staffers a few years ago like the TM Red LDP is today. A softer, slightly lower spinning ball that is more mid trajectory, with minimal side-spin.

The 2007 b330s plays with those characteristics, but doesn't feel as good to me.

Blonday, who are you staffing with now? Looks like Mizuno on the irons.

Target actually had these on clearance a few weeks back. I picked up a box for $11.

i played these balls for sometime and they are great balls. as described when they were originally released, they are a "poor man's pro-v1". i think they compare pretty weel to the 2006 pro-v1 or the 2006 nike one platinum. they are not as long as the tm ldp or the new nike ones but they are a solid ball.

 

as for if they run out - go to target. they have been blowing them out there for $20 or less a dozen for over 2 years.
