Yeah, I have to admit to my addiction. I have a problem. You don't help either. The stuff you have at the shop is too tempting. New shafts, wedges, irons. Pretty soon putter.

Thanks for the welcome! Any recommendations on a good instructor in Honolulu? My irons are a little inconsistent. Played well on the front nine at Prince (C/B) today and shot a 40, then got rushed in the back nine and hacked away to a 47. :russian_roulette:

 

Another question: I recently had a chance to hit some Mizuno MP-52 and thinking about making the switch. Currently I'm playing X-22 Tours w/ Project X Flighted 5.5 and like them a lot. But now I got a taste of the buttery feel of the Mizuno forged irons. Didn't get a chance to hit them much but any thoughts on making this switch? Would it be worth it? Thanks again!

Actually we have a pretty good instructor here in the Hawaii Room..."da master 808"...one of the Pro's out at Royal Kunia and a reason many of us play there weekly.

 

I haven't hit the MP-52's but have played several sets of Mizuno's. What shafts are you thinking of using in them? In my opinion, Mizuno's will always be on the upper tier of great feeling clubs. As for the worth.....thoughts about making a switch...I'm the last guy to answer that question as I never put much thought in any change in my bag except for my wedges. Even that...I may stick with Chikara's but I have a lot of them. ;)

I ended up pulling the trigger and ordering the MP-52 w/ Project X 5.5 today. I'm happy with those shafts on my Callys and like it being lighter than the S300.

 

Maybe I'll hit up "da master 808" and set up a time for some lessons. I've never taken any lessons before and everything is self taught (books, television, etc.) Been currently shooting mid 80's low 90's and would be happy if I can get my game to be consistent low 80's or even better.

Wassup man! I've noticed that this is an expensive sport. I just started about 3 months ago and have already gone through 6 sets. I need to stay away from golf shops!!

Not sure about that...saw someones WITB thread, and I think I should stay away if you've got anything contagious. Can't afford to catch that, though I do want a new driver. LOL

 

 

LOL..I've actually attempted to calm a whole lot down on the new clubs....being on furlough 2x a month helps that a bit! :(

 

The good thing about hanging around us...every round is like "demo day". :D
