Great public course near Wichita. Well worth the drive from the surrounding states.

I've played there a couple of times in the last year and I agree, it's a blast.

It punishes poor shots or decisions and rewards good ones. Just like a good course should.

Jeff Brauer is putting together a nice little portfolio of courses in the area.

I'm in Leavenworth, I'll have to try to make it down there...The course looks plush, definetly looks like it's worth the trip....

I'm in Dallas and meeting some friends from Omaha in Wichita in late April. We're going to play Sand Creek Station, which looks like a great course and sounds like everyone likes it. Also playing Terradyne in Andover Kansas. Anyone know anything abou that one?

You should like Sand Creek Station. It's a nice public golf course with some tricky greens. They can put the pins in some tough locations. It is kept in very good shape.

As far as Terradyne, I haven't played it for awhile, but it's a fun course to play. The main thing to focus on there is to hit it straight. There's a lot of natural grass that they let grow tall off the fairways. So, if you're not hitting it straight, you can go through some balls.

I have played Terradyne about 10 times, but not in several years. It is a very linksy course, not many trees in the middle of the course, with tall rough seperating the holes. When they built it they did thier best to make it feel like Scotland in the middle of Kansas, there are even a couple of double greens. The fairways are wide, but you had better hit them, it can also be extremly windy in Wichita most of the year so dont be suprised if the wind is 20-30 mph. I have playd almost every course in the Wichita area and this is (used to be) one of my favorites, I would rank it as one of the top courses in the area, although I have no idea what condiditon it is currently in. I live in the KC area so I dont play much golf in Wichita any longer.

I haven't been there since but in the last year or so they've been doing some upgrades to the course at Terradyne. A buddy of mine's wife works there. They put in a practice course with 1 each par 3/4/5 and I think did some refurbishing to the main course.

Sand Creeks is a great course, you won't be disappointed there one bit.
