How do they Play compared to Steel

Hey Guys,

Interested in your thoughts on the Aerotech Steel Fiber iron shafts. I got a nice little surprise from my boss on Christmas eve when a complete set of shafts arrived at my doorstep :) I have the i110 for my 3-PW and the i125 for my 52,56 and 60.

I love the look of the shafts, and I played one in a Hybrid once and it had a great feel, but never used one in a Iron. Who here has, and what are your thoughts?

Sweet.....I'm actually thinking about giving these a real try. I'll probably will start with the wedges.

I want to see how these are in terms of feel, trajectory, do they play stiff to flex, soft to flex?

 

I've almost always played either DGX or PX 6.0 Shafts. I did venture into the graphite relm once with the Aldila MLTI which I really liked.

 

I'm hoping these aren't as harsh as the DGX shafts. I've been having some joint pan lately and I think these will really help.

 

Do you think these will launch higher like the PX shafts?

 

I went with the heavier shafts in my wedges ( i125 vs i110 ) as I feel like a heavier wedge shaft will give me more control and feel.

Chris,

 

Word is they do launch a little higher. Also, they feel much softer due to the graphite core. Further, they play a flex stiffer to flex across the board. The set up you have is perfect with the 110's for the irons and the 125's for the wedges.

Hmm...So will these play closer to a XX Flex than a X Flex?

 

I like the sound of them being softer and launcing higher. Sounds like they will work pretty good :)

any word on how the wedge shafts are?  I tried a demo today at me local shop in a 6 iron and really liked the feel.  They did seem to be a flex off, I was hitting a Regular and it was plenty stiff.

Wedge shafts feel really really nice. I get a really high ball flight with them, but when you hit the ball pure, you don't feel anything just look up to see the ball on the green :) Probably the best wedge shafts I have played to date.

Nice to hear about the wedge shafts. I', on the fence reshafting a few wedges and snagging a fe wmore wedges where I'll need to make a choice. I've actually been converting most of my irons over to KBS from PX.
