Please compare Diamana White and Prolaunch Red

Would like to know if these two shafts are quite similar. I currently use Prolaunch Red and feel they are great shafts but would like to upgrade to Diamana White if I am going to get a set of new clubs. Please compare these two in terms of feel, launch, spin, etc. Is the higher price on Diamana White really worth the upgrade or should I just stick with Prolaunch Red if they are quite similar? Please advise. Thanks.

If I were you I'd look into the new Prolaunch Red with Axis technology. Still under $100 and I bet a very fine shaft.

The Diamana White is nice...I find it's a little lower spin than the PL Red and quite a bit more smooth (though the PL Red is nowhere near what I'd call boardy--a la the V2). The PL Red is a very nice low launch budget shaft.

I've never hit any Diamana shaft. BUT, I just reshafted my R7 425 with a Pro Launch Red, and the difference is unbelievable. I was hitting sky high fades and slices with the stock Fuji Reax S flex shaft. When they were straight, they were still sky high. I had a PL red stiff installed, and I'm actually shocked at the difference. Every shot was dead straight. I pulled some, but there was no fade, slice, draw, or hook on any of them, just pulls. Much lower, piercing trajectory, and 10-15 yards longer than typical. I played a course that I play quite a bit, so I used that for a comparison on the yardages. The feel was incredible. I got the shaft on ebay for $50 shipped, and as far as clubs go, it was the best "investment" yet. It brought my confidence with the driver back.

Exactly what muxi87 said. Launch characteristics are similar, whiteboard may be a little lower launch/spin, a lot smoother feeling, and if you get one in the ion finish a lot cooler looking.

Feel -Diamana crushes it, feels MUCH smoother

Launch - Very similar

Spin - Diamana whiteboard quite a bit less

The pro launch red, to me, feels pretty butt stiff...although I'm not sure of the specs

As I've said, I've never hit a Diamana shafted club, but I really couldnt imagine a much smoother feel than the PL Red. To be honest, it if got any smoother, I dont think I'd like it much, but that is just me, and we all know feel is very subjective. I also havent hit it on a monitor, so I have no idea what kind of spin it is producing.

According to the specs, it is tip stiff, with a high kick point.

I have played both the Whiteboard and the new PL Red with AXIS and I think the new PL Red has closed the gap with the Whiteboard for a lot less money. I hit the Whiteboard pretty well and got very good distance from it, but I don't think it was all that accurate for me. It does feel pretty smooth, even in an X, although I never felt that original PL Red was that boardy. Other people I know disagree and feel that the original PL Red was quite boardy. Those same players have commented that they love the feel of my new PL Red with AXIS when they hit it last week. I don't know what my spin rates are like with the new shaft, but even in a 10.5* driver, it does not seem all that spinny. I have to mention that I am very accurate off the tee with this shaft. I missed only one fairway while hitting driver during my last round. Distance is very good as well. I like it so much, that I am going to order a few more of them and reshaft some of my other drivers. I think both are very good shafts, but as a value proposition, the PL wins. Just my 2 cents.
