Are you talking about #3 at forest Dunes? #3 is a par 3 and #4 is a gentle dogleg right medium length par 4. #5 is a par 5 that plays downhill off the tee if you can reach the downslope, about 285 to do it.

Nope, #3 & #4 on the Tribute. #3 is an extremely downhill par 4 that plays about 430 yards from the tips, but is close to driveable by big hitters, and #4 is a par 5 that plays about 555 from the tips, with a blind tee shot, and it drops off severely for about the last 200-250 yards.

I love Forest Dunes. I'm jealous of you for having that as your home course.

I thought U were talking about the Tribute, I've only played it once and couldn't remember what 3&4 were like. BTW, U were correct concerning Hawks Eye in another thread. I had it confused with The Chief. Edited my post.

I'm stauing up at boyne for 4 nights in a timeshare. Here's our lineup.

Forest dunes twilight (80)

otsego club tribute

treetops jones

hawks eye

dunmaglas

Now, my question here is, for people who play up there alot, im thinking about taking one out and throwing in a black forest/wilderness valley 36 hole day. is it worth it? and how is the cheif compared to hawk's eye? or any other recommendations or reviews about any of these courses? the only one i've played is black forest. Quality affordable courses up there are what we're looking for.

If you are staying at Boyne check out their courses, good courses and you get a a deal. Unless that timeshare is under someone else.... Boyne twilight starts at 2pm. So even if you don't get a deal you can still play some nice courses for cheap(er).

The Chief sucks. Go across the street and play either the Legend or Cedar River, if you must, play Hawk's Eye. Personally I can't think of a worse golf experience than the chief, so I wouldn't give them money to play hawk's eye either. Drove an hour to get there, after we give them our money they tell us the 18th hole is closed, they won't refund, just a rain check, then they wouldn't even throw in a bucket of range balls. Then we get out there....4 iron-wedge on at least 8 holes. Stay away, stay far away.

Played the course a few years ago and thought it was decent, you could find a nicer course but I think it is worth playing. If you can make the drive over and get onto kingsley club it is a great course. It kicks Arcadia's butt in the golf part just not the views. The course is just totally ridiculously awesome. here is there site http://thekingsleyclub.com/

Has anyone played the Sundance course at A-Ga-Ming? That's not too far from Bellaire, where Shanty Creek and Hawk's Eye are located. I've heard good things, and I'm playing it in a few weeks. That could be another possibility if the OP is still getting things set for his trip.
